bale wasn't that big for batman, he was in better shape for american psycho



definitely less defined in batman begins than maguire was in the first spidey film...he was more on par with hugh jackman in the second x-men film

The way bale got into shape after the machinist was nothing short of miraculous.....

I wasn't too impressed with Maguire's build in either of the two spidey films....not taking anything away from the guy as I think he acted them both quite well.....

As I recall he was around 220lb, not exactly small, even by professional bodybuilders standards! Although I agree, he was much better defined in American Psycho. Thing I like about Bale is he always makes a point of going the extra mile for any role he undertakes.

he was bit, but i wasn't in awe with his physique, it may come down to either the fact that i've seen him bigger before or that there was no direction to show off his physique properly in the films.

he looked the business, just not totally completely ripped.

I thought it was 210. And you need to remember he got to that weight from a mere 115 pounds he weighed becuase he had just finished filming The Machinist.

As for Tobeys "fat pictures" theyre over a year old. And you know what - he has a grueling schedule when filming and is under alot of pressure and everyone deserves to let themselves go everyone once in awhile.

It was also very stupid. You know what Bale did after Machinist? He pigged out. He didn't monitor his diet and nutrition and he got very sick as a result.

And did anyone see the pictures of Bale before he was toned up and muscled up? He was looking pretty chunky as well.

Basically, going through all these weight fluctuations that movie stars and actors do, it can be very dangerous and its not very healthy.

I totally forgot about Ryan Reynolds. He was in insanely good shape for Blade 3. And getting into that shape when you're a tall guy is hard to do since you need to eat more than a shorter one. But I have to give props to Bale from going how he looked in the Machinist to how he looked inBatman Begins. Reynolds was the best overall but Bale made the biggest transformation.
