Sorry well, you're wrong. And millions of other people are wrong to do that. I usually see at least 8/10 of the contenders because well, I love great movies. Gone Girl was not better than Boyhood, if you don't want to see Boyhood because you think it's below you; that's your problem. Unless you see all the movies, you don't have an informed opinion .. and an informed opinion isn't worth jack and that's why what you think has no influence on what they choose for best picture. If Gone Girl should win in any category, it would be for score, adapted screenplay, or Rosamund Pike. It doesn't have a chance other than that, although it is one of my favorites films of the year(maybe ever).

I disagree with your entire statement. Not everybody can afford to go see all 10 best pictures or dont want too or cant see most for various reasons. You can have an informed opinion on certain movies by the way in this case if you saw it and ethier love it or hate it. To say millions of opinions are worthless if they havent seen every picture is a bit overboard.

You pretty much saying if i tell you i think the #2 at chik fila is the best they have but i havent tried every item then im wrong and my opinion is useless.
Gone girl should win but i know movies like birdman or boyhood will most likely get it. All opinion and no winning regardless.

Sorry but it's not even debatable. You are flat out wrong. You and everyone else is allowed to have an opinion on who should win, but if you've only seen a few of the movies that makes it an uninformed opinion, which is a very poor opinion. Considering Boyhood got better reviews, more acclaim, and has won countless awards and nominations already over Gone Girl you saying you think Gone Girl should win "far and away" is idiotic. You are allowed to have your opinion, but if you don't even care enough to see the movies then why should it even matter to you who wins? You're like a child saying "I want this one mommy" because it looks nice and you've had it before, when really there are lots of other good selections, and better ones out there. But I guess you're a child so you think that one is the best based on nothing that even comes close to being an educated decision. You haven't even looked at the other ones. Fine way to go about things for a child, but for a grown person you just seem naive.
