Superman Returns Wrath of Zod

Well seeing as Zod is supposed to be or was a great military general of Krypton. Why not have him come back. Except if they continue with the back story, have him be human or powerless. Perhaps he releases Brainiac? Using Zod again could have some decent possibilities. He just doesnt have to be the supervillian just the key to releasing something more dangerous.

We have already seen Zod in the movies, his story was concluded in Superman II, there is no need to see him again, making him the villain would just be a rehash of Superman II, I want to see an original movie with new villain.

No one outsides of comic geeks, no one has any idea of Superman's villains, outside of Luthor. Using Brainiac may seem like old hat to you, but he would be new to the general audience and he is a million times better than the other villains you mentioned. Doomsday ios nothing more than a plot device and Ruin is just a stupid idea (do you know how convoluted to be to introduce Emil hamilton and make reveal him to be a villain in one movie.) Brainiac is Superman's second greatest villain for a reason and should get a chance to shine on the silver screen.

Doomsday is a plot device...like the kid and Richard, so what would be so exciting about seeing someone else except someone who would actually be cool????????

Yeah, my point is we don't KNOW about Superman's rogue gallery, and they aren't considered cool because we have only seen a a few great ones in recent memory...and those are Darksied, Metallo, Brianiac and Lex Luthor.

GD...Supes needs someone different and how many different times can you re-create Brianiac, Metalllo or Luthor??????

We need a comic book villian because most outside of Luthor aren't well known and that's ****ing stupid ****!

I happen to agree that Zod would be a bad choice, but interestingly at Comic-con today....when someone shouted form the audience "bring back ZOD!!"...singer replied "won't that piss off the comic book fans"...then he said.."who here would want Zod back"..and shockingly...there was a HUGE response (positive response)...i am hoping htat plays no role in any decision...but it was interesting.

I agree with you huntress..i think doomsday would be an excellent choice...I am not as sure about Ruin...i think combining doomsday with braniac is a good idea...braniac could even be responsible for his creation..since in the comic it was a kryptonian scientist that did create doomsday.

It was comic con hype...like all the hype.

I listen instead of clap because that's when you will hear the true deal, and it's always the case that many more clap over one overheard word than them acutally clapping about it.

Zod always get's cheers because he's ****ing Zod!!

Nice. I think that proves Singer had no intention to bring back Zod. I hope their reaction doesnt affect his decision.

I actually think Braindoom would be good, and it would fit. However, I don't want to see anyone who has been shown. Those writers need to show and prove and really show and prove by bringing something new. They didn't bring anything new to the table with SR except for Richard and the Kid, so if they are just hacks them let them be hacks with comic books instead of hacks who just lick Donnner's nuts.

LOL...IMO, since I was there...he didn't sound like he had a clue who the next villian would be. The audience yelled Zod...not him. Though, I wouldn't doubt Singer's love for Donner goes foward in the next film so he copies everything he did so it will look just like the Donner reshoot.

Wow. Have some tact at least.

I wouldnt mind Brainiac creating Doomsday but in the end, I want a fight between Kal-el and Brainiac.

I want Brainiac to look Crystal-based (a mix of Donner's FOS look and the TAS Brainiac) and to have all of Superman's abilities.

I want an in-flight battle with superpowers and superspeed. That'd be something new (action-wise).

And the bar keeps rolling backwards....

Whatever...he got his point across, but Superman's was missed in that. Hopefully, if he does do the sequel, he will hae a beter take on Superman...because seriously the man doesn't know ****.

Believe me...his Q&A succession was limited considering he'd just done the first Superman movie in twenty years.

N/A

Even after meeting him, you really hate him that much?

Regardless the fact you seem be ignoring is just because you're sick of brainiac, doesn't other comic book fans are and certainly not the general audience who is unaware of who Brainiac is. Brainiac is far more interesting than some lame 90s flash in the pan villain like Doomsday.

Agreed. Brainiac could be effin awesome if done right.

The fight scenes alone would be sic-ness.

I walked into the session very skeptical of singer. I thought he was impressive and answered the questions well...my faith was restored enough to see his vision continue...I don't think his next movie will be a rehash at all....i think it will be totally new.

We are talking about the movies, not the comics, the general audience is not familar with Superman's rogues gallery at all, except for Luthor, we can't leave out an important villain like Brainiac, just because you happen to be sick of him. Brainiac is Superman's second greatest foe, who has been around since the 50s, he is far important than crappy flash in the pan villains like Doomsday and Ruin.

I didn't like Richard or the kid, but if they are just plot devices, that's no excuse just to introduce another plot device, like Doomsday. Doomsday is just a plot device, he is a Hulk rip off, a mindless kiling machine with no real motive or character, he is a really lame villain in my opinion.

That's what I thought last year.

"He's not so bad."

LOL...I was wrong:(

Right? Yeah, I buy that stuff.

So, IYO, a good writer shouldn't introduce them? How do you think Batman's rogue's came into being? Hell! PI has a following because of the cartoon. She wasn't even well know before that. Check your facts dude!

Important villian like Brainiac? I thought you said Supes rogue gallery was unknown, and the only place Brain has been seen is on the cartoon and Smallville????? Is Singer such a hack he is going to copy Al and Miles as well as Donner????????????????

LOL...no excuse to include a GOOD, well working plot device like the rock in space...LIKE BRAINIAC or DOOMSDAY?????????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

okay...

Ty-Zor is far more likley than Zod.

Ty-Zor is just a Zod clone, Zod with a different name. If they use Ty-Zor it is just an excuse to rehash Superman II with a Zod clone. Why are the movie makers to use an orginal comic book villain, like Brainiac?

He has made more good movies than bad...not to mention that although i was dissapointed with SR it isn't a "bad" move per se. I think he is open minded enought to hear the criticisms and take them constructively. He definitely seemed like he wanted an action packed sequel. He made several comments about that (besides the wrath of kahn thing).
