This is a continuation thread, the old thread is [split]513913[/split]
I concurMaybe. Just maybe. A collaboration between Fox and Marvel Studios might be possible... a few years from now. But the idea that Fox would just give up a $3.8 billion franchise is extremely funny to me.
Then again I'm in the camp that doesn't want the X-Men in the MCU anyway. I prefer mature themes, R-rated X-Force, Deadpool and Wolverine.
Nightcrawler clip is nicely shot... but how exactly do you hold a teleporter captive in a cage?
I mean deadpool especilly since it was rated r.a big no no according to feige.yeah the comedic tone of deadpool would fit with MCU unlike the X-men but that film had adult themes in it.
The assumption is maybe he can't teleport out of an electric field.
I don't need X-Men to be part of the MCU. What story would we get? Would they go for Avengers vs X-Men (similar like Captain America: Civil War)? Or, more probably, go for the end of the world scenario with a big bad, but who needs that when you already have Thanos and Apocalypse?
That or he's simply too scared and stressed. He's just a kid.
Critically I don't think there can be much argument. And even TLS wasn't that unpopular with the GA, just fans, although XMO:W was a turd. But financially for perspective DOFP was a great film and made only $234m domestically while CW is probably going to make that in a few days. This whole "Marvel Studios needs to control the world" idea needs to die, as does this preposterous notion that X-Men isn't and hasn't been a monumentally successful franchise.
The fact that it has lasted 16 years and only produced ONE movie that was panned by both critics and general audiences ought to be enough to kill both of these ideas, but it apparently isnt.

I don't want the X-Men in the MCU at all. I never even really felt the X-Men worked in the greater Marvel universe. The world hates mutants, but super powered characters like The Avengers and Spider-Man are A-OK? I like the metaphor the X-Men present and it all falls apart when you introduce other super powered characters.
