There's so much wrong in your post but ill focus on this part the only reason Last Stand is highest is it was coming off X2 and the final of a trilogy is always the highest in box office.

Except Apocalypse which just shows how much people don't like X-Men proper anymore and that people didn't even care how the 30 year prequel idea ended.

Its pretty much just how comic book movies have evolved unfortunately, X3 probably wouldn't make as much today as it did back then.

Cyclops got the most development in X1 and Apocalypse. LoL that's a 16 year gap and he did nothing in either film regardless lol

Depends what you are expecting him to do i guess, development or giving someone something to do doesn't always equal having to declare that someone the chosen one or the only one who can save the world, especiall when you have alot of characters to work with.

I only agree with him practically doing nothing in X1.

He got to do nothing in X1 outside of shooting lasers to help Wolvie.
Even young Cyclops in Origins teased this troublemaker persona Sheridan has.

Marsdens got a decent role in X1 but i would still argue we learnt much more about cyclops in apocalypse then we ever did X1.

Now it could be argued if you like that they didn't explore enough but what we got was much better then nothing in comparison to X1 which felt like he was just jeans bf and wolverines rival which scott was never gonna end up winning that rivalry

Wolverine can't steal a girl from Cyclops. That's why they made Cyclops much shorter than Wolverine in the films and pushed him to be handsome.

So yes giving Wolverine the Cyclops physical traits helped push the false narrative that he's better than Cyclops.


Just like people claim with MCU and Fox-Men. Just because ones more popular doesn't = better.

Going by box office info FC apparently had more appeal with its new cast and b-lister then hugh jackman in the wolverine which due to the characters popularity that shouldn't be the case

And there is no wolverine only works when he is with the other X-Men, thats really weird logic that puts alot of marvels solos to shame in comparison.

Now obviously Logan could do better then Apocalypse and if it does it will be down to the appeal of the trailers and marketing, not because patrick stewart is in the movie.

In Apocalypse we got to see Cyclops's powers manifested.we are introduced to school through himthe begining of his relationship with jean is crucial to film.
he taking kids to mall is homage to cyclops from X-Men evolution.you saw hints of him as leader when he,jean,and nightcrawler were on their own after stryker captured beast,Mystique,moira,and quicksilver.we saw his baptism by fire in 3rd act.

Has anyone brought up that in the scene where Mystique first brings Nighcrawler to Caliban, Psylocke in the background is peeling an orange. Most likely a mandarin.

She got a lot of things to do in X1/X2 she got shafted in X3.

I don't agree with making her Magneto's henchwoman in the first place. She's her own woman and has her own teams.

Plus it shifted her in other media. She's now always working for Magneto in other things now because of the films.
