Simon says:
Kinberg you shouldn't left school.

Does older or younger kid of your parents looks the same as you, has the same traits of character as you? No, only twin can.
It would be different person, not even mentioning would he be a mutant?
If I was born 3 years later, I would be my brother not me in this new timeline.

Changing age of anyone will be mistake, as they want to keep it close to reality, especially when those movies are about evolution theory.

Time travel is magic and any reality adheres to the rules they created surrounding it. If they say kids are born earlier it's quite possible depending on the rules of time travel they created.

To be honest, the only BIG stuff that was revealed in this year's Comic Con when it comes to super hero film is the Wonder Woman picture which looks very good. But in my opinion, last year Comic-Con is better because more CB films presented last year. I also expected a lot of film announcements this year but they only announced GOTG2. Like no Dr. Strange, No Fantastic Four, the rumoured to be announced DC dates didn't happen. I can't wait for next year's comic-con, I'm hoping Fox will go there to promote Apocalypse.

This year was kind of pathetic at Comic Con.I don't understand the reasoning
why marvel only announces GOTG2 and not the july 2016 and May 2017 films.

DC made no announcements about future films.

Next year's comic con should have a X-Men pressence If APocalypse goes into production In April similar to DOFP schedule.

DOFP had excitment of seeing Main 4 first class actors,Main OT actors who they could tell us were In film,Evan Peters,Peter Dinklage,Omar sy with Bryan SInger and producers.Apocalypse won't really have that.It would have 4 main FC actors,Peters,Hugh Jackman,Channing Tatum If Gambit Is In Apocalypse,Whoever Is cast as APocalypse,Cyclops,Jean,Storm. While newones they cast as Cyclops,Jean,Storm will create some excitemnet it won't quite be the same as when they went for DOFP.

The reason Fox didn't go this year with FF may be they are wiating till they get some CGI done for the Thing before showing anything.

Its to early to expect anything, they are filming next year so I ain't sure if we can even expect even a teaser next year

I miss the X-Men/X2/Last stand days where we got lots of merchadize even if we got a bad film.

It is changing the timeline as well as possable changing the birth dates of characters not seen In DOFP's new future ending. And things are moving away
from lining up at all with trilogy.

Other use reboot more freely. Some continue to insist online first class was a reboot.the recent 24:Live another day was called a reboot.TNT's Dallas despite return of a few original actors reprising their roles from original Dallas.

You really can't call APocalypse prequel to Trilogy or contuning from Trilogy

Mr M Is suggesting they do reboot after Apocalypse when they have already going into Apocalypse removed trilgoy and Wolverine films from Contunity.

I didn't suggest any reboots. I just want a new direction. They could have made a sequel with JGL as Batman, but I wouldn't want it to be in the vein of Nolan's films. Had they done that, it should have a completely different tone despite being in continuity, because audiences need something different every so often. So when they reintroduce the original X-Men, I want to see a different tone in subsequent films.

As far as Angel showing up as an adult, I will then call this trilogy a full fledged reboot that just happened to use original actors. Or a cherry picker reboot, which it already is. The OT is already invalid theoretically, but I just can't look at it as existing in any timeline coinciding with the FC one.

He's not ding battlestar galactica anymore. There Is another comic book property his company has acquired rights to as poential film after Apocalypse.

Who knows if another film with Original cast fits with the plans for future films.

X-Men is Fantasy and Magic just as much as it is Sci-Fi and if anything, It has only just hit on Sci-fi in other than just its themes with DOFP. We have had Xavier returning from the dead. Powers adapting. and Surviving through a psychic bubble. If you can't believe that a birthdate can change through time travel in a series like this then there are issues.

just a thought... if 1997 is the first appearance of angel in tls.. means he was born in the 80s.. what if apocalypse finds him as a newborn, tracks him somehow because he knows this mutant will be special and accelerates his growth? that way we could have a more grown up angel and still respect the old timeline? i know it's stretched but still.. better than kinber's idea imo.

None of that really matters since I highly doubt Angel is in the film...

probabaly not but if they really REALLY wanted him in, it would suck if they just said ''well, you know, he was born earlier''

They could do that in a 90s set movie, sure. Why not.

I think X men Apoc could be the last X men for Singer but he could stay producers and be involved (like FC). IMO, Singer is very protective with the franchise because he thinks it is his baby .

When you read Singer's interview, you can clearly see that he doesn't want to leave anymore. Until Fox reboot the franchise, he will be involved in some capacity .

Pure speculation , i think Dan Harris and Michael Dougherty will direct after Singer .

With franchises it's rae to get same director to do 4 let alone 5.Peter Jackson Is exception to this by doing all 6 Lord of the ring/Hobbit films so odds are he turns over the director's chair on main X-Men films after Apocalypse but stays on as producer.

You could be right on Dan Harris and Michale Dougherty.Harris had directed a small film and Dougherty had done trick r treat with Singer producing.Robert Orci Is being given reigns to next Star Trek Film by J.J. Abrams and Paramount and he has never directed anything so not completly unheard of.

I wasn't expecting much X-Men: Apocalypse news this year (they're apparently still writing the script/formulating story ideas). I was kind of hoping that we'd get some news about other potential films, like Gambit or X-Force for example.

When the DVD will come out, we will have some news maybe .....

I don't think I like the idea of Harris and Dougherty directing if Singer doesn't want to direct anymore.

I think we would at least see Singer direct 2 more films (counting Apocalypse). This should be the 1st time that he will direct 3 consecutive X-Men team films.

So I guess we got absolutely nothing from SDCC this year... Surprised we didn't hear much of anything from Tatum regarding Gambit :/

But we did get to see the Deadpool test footage one way or another :dpf:

...It's ****ing amazing!!!! :dpl:

That's because studios are worried about flops. In a world where ASM2 barely does 200 domestic and DOFP underperforms domestically, you have to exercise caution. Who knows what Guardians does this weekend.
