If what insiders have posted here over the past year is true he's been ghost-producing it and is part of the reason its undergoing reshoots because he didn't like the initial cut and thought it could focus on the horror aspect more.

Feige got the franchise back at the worst time possible. Our poor X-Men are gonna have to get put on ice for like 5 years after this. ugh.

She actually says "Why do you think they are even called X-Men!" The implication is that It's because Charles is an egotistical narcissist and Mystique has become ashamed of him.

The music in the film sounds terrible. It sounds like Zimmer fell asleep on a sound board over the weekend. THere's like one theme that's repeated over the whole film. A little bit of choral singing. That's it. No callbacks to the previous themes. Nothing epic. Nothing grand. It all sounds very synthesized too barely any orchestra. Horrendous. Just generic brooding dull tones.

I felt that from the very first clips released. Seems even Zimmer sleepwalked through this movie.

Absolutely hell no dude. HARD disagree. and Zimmer's score seems to be an agreed positive.

Actually no. I've liked a lot of Zimmer's scores. I liked his music in the Nolan Batman films and Pirates of the Caribbean. This is is some of the worst Zimmer music I've ever heard. It's worse than Elfman's score for Justice League.

How about compared to his Spider-Man score? I love Hans but disliked that score a lot.

A nice, fair assessment of the film from 2 people I actually care about over at Collider. Lack of emotional response, but nice comic book imagery and great performances. Better than Apocalypse. 6/10 from both of them.

Going to have to check out the score. Because even when Zimmer isn't trying, I enjoy his work usually. Except his BvS Batman stuff. I mean... ugh.
