Dark Phoenix X-Men: Dark Phoenix News and Speculation Thread - - - - - - Part 15

Stuckmanns review didn't even mention the other characters and Jeremy Jahns says Nightcrawler acts vicious? Sigh..

Yes. Nightcrawler at one point acts vicious and loses it. Except it's more comical than anything. Like unintentionally hilarious to see this Nightcrawler growling and yelling and acting like he's Wolverine.

Hmm I'm diggin that. Haven't seen Nightcrawler really cut loose since the opening of X2.

I'm assuming that closeup from the final trailer of him glaring at someone with full teeth before teleporting is from that scene because that bit put me off immediately. It just looked ridiculous.

Wow, really sad to hear how badly this all turned out. I still remember when it was rumored that Kinberg was going to direct and everyone had that sinking feeling... truly a gut punch. Now it's a reality.

I'm glad he proved himself to be a total hack though and still can't believe Fox did this. I just don't understand the thought process behind any of this. I was at least hoping it would just be a small, thoughtful movie since it obviously wasn't going to be an epic.

RIP to a franchise that gave me years of really great ups and some really big downs. With everything going on with Bryan Singer as well, it really is time to let go.

this is not that bad as RT. lots of people said better than apocalypse. but you know how it goes.
many of them already decided it's bad, saw it to roast movie no matter what.
this is solid 5~6/10 movie. not great, but okay. not 1/10 movie as some critics are giving.
such a shame..

How much did Fox pay you to post that? At least try and hide the fact this is a shill post.

lol sure jan. I've been dragging the fox and their recent movie for years.
but I'm not blind dumb, so I can be fair to the movies.

as expected, anyone saying positve or being fair is fox shill.
and you see critics are scared to post their opinion because they don't want to go against popular thing.

There are a lot of people who said the same and some who even liked the movie. That's what I've heard, that they liked it better than X:A. The critics thus far are a small handful on RT. But at the moment, that's not good RT score obviously. I'll wait until I see it to give my assessment. I'm am interested to see what icekid thinks of the final theatrical cut and how much that changed from the version he saw.

Why is it that every defender of this movie has the same speech pattern and broken english. It's so weird.

it doesn't feel like changed much other than the ending. which is not that different.

anyway, anyone saw this here? I'm going to see this in few hours.

there are people outside english speaking country.
I didn't know this forum was only made for people from US/Canada/UK/Ireland/AUS/NZ.

According to icekid, it seems like a significant amount had been cut out in the final edit. A big chunk of storm's choreography, interactions between Chastain and Jean...

There are a lot of international fans for X-Men, so film might still do well overseas.

you do realise for every person who already decided whether a film is a likely to be bad, there's another who has already decided a film is going to be good. Would you prefer to walk out of a movie bitterly disappointed or proved right?

Wouldn’t it be nuts if this movie does worse than Shazam at least domestically? Internationally this will beat it for sure but domestically not so sure about that especially given the reviews and the crowded summer.

I've seen on twitter people who walked in expecting the movie to be terrible but walked out saying they liked it. So there's clearly mixed reactions from viewers.
