It lacks some of the epicness and true money shoots, but I quite like that it's so story and character heavy trailer. Probably a smart choice, given that we will still see at least one if not two more trailers before February.

But seriously Charles, didn't Logan worn you back in the 70's not to make the same mistake about Jean and not to mess with her head and personality.

I REALLY love the tone of the trailer, I'm happy they're taking a more serious and dramatic approach.

I'm more than ok with being teased because I know the movie is going to deliver something in terms of cool special effects. I don't know what the money shot from the Russia trailer was but I thought cutting away from Jean right as she was about to burst to a shot of her face cracking and becoming less human was actually perfect editing.

They removed the scene in the leaked trailer that featured Magneto in a wheelchair with Beast (in human form), pushing him, the Luna character, Storm and Nightcrawler...was that changed in the movie itself? I hope so, Storm is supposed to have grown into a sister to Jean over the last 10 years.

Given that this movie is not even fully done with photography as the re-shoots are still going or have just finished (I'm not sure), what we got is plenty.

Great teaser. It was just like the first DOFP trailer, setting up the story without giving anything away. I was upset about them dropping X-Men from the title, but I love how serious this film is and I'm cool with it now I guess for marketing purposes. There's a quick shot of Scott walking confidently towards the camera that really excited me for some reason. It feels like they tried to make him look like Marsden's version in X1 a bit. I'm gonna try to skip every other trailer since this is probably the last in the series and I've learned films are so much more exciting when you haven't seen or read much about them.

I LOVE how many group shots there are in the trailer. The shot of Nightcrawler, Storm, Prof X, and Storm all holding onto eachother and teleporting is really great.

I think people may be happy that it seems Mystique and/or Quicksilver die, definitely thinking its Mystique given the Beast/Magneto team up

I got a bit of a Marsden X1 vibe as well. Good luck with skipping the marketing! I wish I could do that too but I have no willpower when it comes to the X-men.

I think you are right given how the characters are portrayed to be conflicted.

[it looks like mystique dies there’s a quick shot of beast hugging what looks like mystiques lifeless body. I think quicksilver will also die which would cause magneto to go after jean it also does look like the rumors of beast joining magneto were true by the way I hate magnetos look/SPOILER]
