probably they are doing this not to happen what happened to Deadpool 2, which was flooded with false statements, from people who said they had attended the test sessions and that the film was horrible, including some journalists said the movie was horrible according to their "sources".

What happened to Deadpool 2? The movie still did well, seems like.

Again... why would Fox care about "false" rumors? If there was no truth to them, they wouldn't be going around and threatening legal action to people who are talking about the movie.

If the movie is good, there is no need to worry about rumors.

The similarity with Deadpool 2 is that FOX also tried to threaten legal action when bad news of its test screening came out. If I remember correctly.

I somewhat disagree, that the studio should not worry if it's false rumors.
the fox in my opinion took too long to take action, deadpool they were faster, the rumor that the film was horrible began to circulate in the twiter and was soon turned into truth by some journalists who said they have reliable sources.
something similar happened with wonder woman..Dark phoenix for many months has been bombarded with rumors created in twiter, which have seen truth in the hands of journalists who clearly hate the franchise.
the film does not have a trailer or more information for the public to evaluate in a particular way, so the fox does have to take action.

wonder woman also went through similar situation, but talking about dark phoenix, is a movie that has been bombarded with rumors for months, almost always the good rumors have not seen news or are denied, but the bad quickly becomes success, including " journalists "who openly dislike the franchise by turning any bad rumor into something true just to help create more and more pessimism, including one known to say that SS was a wonderful film that only has to be postponed in its twiter" please do not watch darkphoenix, I hate them, "in months he makes it a point to demonstrate that he hates the franchise and that this movie is the worst thing in the world.

Am I supposed to believe that Fox has a good movie on their hands if they are going after people who spread negative word of mouth about it? That tells me they are worried about the movie they have on their hands, and that what those people are saying about it have truth to them, which gives the negative word of mouth about the film far more credibility than it would've had otherwise.

Its like when Donald Trump screams "fake news" every time a negative story is printed about him. It just confirms what was said was true.

It’s people they know didn’t see the movie or sign an NDA, which legally Fox has no ground to stand on in attempting to do so. Doesn’t bode well for the validity of what is being said, as it may turn out true. Like other have mention, they did the same with the ‘Deadpool 2 is horrible’ leaks but all the story leaks were true but the movie was good! Wonder Woman was described as a mess and had a similar turnout as Deadpool.

Like I always say anyone not saying this movie will fail is labeled being crazy when all they are doing is what anyone with a kindergarten education would be able to do. Wait for anything to prove if it's any good or if it's bad.

What's make it hard for everyone is the complete lack of any news, and given the track record of Simon Kinberg, a sequel to a not so fan favourite X Men film and a huge delay in releases makes people lean towards the negative side.

Surely its almost time for them to release some sort of poster or teaser?

Strange for you to make that assessment. Given the limited history or shared characters, the Quicksilver character in Xmen looked and performed better than the Quicksilver in Age of Ultron.

So why not the same with the Skrulls? Especially with the blandness of their appearance in the EW shoot. I would count on it for sure

Even fans of DOFP's Foxy Pete admit he looked terrible in that movie, despite the awesomeness of the TIAB scene. AOU's underwhelming Pietro was a far better depiction of the character in appearance, powers and personality.

And our chances of having dueling Skrulls on the big screen in 2019 died with the Disney buy out.

You would think any studio would do the most to protect their film from bad press. Ever since the reshoots were announced all we have heard is negative buzz, yet the studio keeps tight lipped. It makes me believe in the negative buzz all the more. Why not release new stills, show of what you are most proud of in the film - regardless if the rest is ****. Just do something to counteract the negativity.

I've followed the X Men films for years and I have never seen such a lack of enthusiasm from fans, and I can hardly blame them. Im hoping the trailer is worth this wait!

Fox never understood their audience, their fanbase, and the X-Men fanbase. So they probably dont care or just dont know how to change negative word of mouth in an effective way. If they dont know exactly what the x-men fans expect from these movies, they cant approach a marketing campaign in a way that would put the negative word of mouth to rest. hell, one of the very first pics of this movie was of Mystique, a version of the character that most fans hate and is hurting their approach of the other x-men. So what can we expect from this same studio then? they dont give a damm about the expectations or the source material, so they wont bother that much with a negative early word of mouth. They know they will get their budget back, and thats probably most they care about.
