That's probably how they are going to sell it. That before the space mission Jean has gotten control over her inate Phoenix powers but couldn't handle the upgrade. But it diminishes the one great scene in Apocaypse of Jean going (what we thought was) full Phoenix to have her just go to Phoenix 2.0 in DP. Kinberg appears to be combining the more grounded OT Phoenix with the cosmic comic book origin and I would have preferred he picked a lane.

Actually, he looked fine when he did the first one. Aou was where he looked absolutely miserable for not havin more freedom. But the film was still okay because mcu has feige and fox has no such figure. Whos gonna save dark phoenix? Hutch parker? LSD?

Whether they have a Kevin Feige or not doesn't mean much. I am sure Whedon wasn't sitting there thinking ah its ok i can relax and not stress too much, least we have Feige.

Josh Whedon was exhausted working on at least the sequel.

I remember seeing a screenshot of some random asking Kinberg on IG if 14th is the for sure date and he said yes, obviously it's out of his control. If this movie is shelved I wouldn't be surprised at all.

Id be very shocked if it was shelved. it has little to no reason to be shelved at all. the idea that Disney would shelve it is abit dumb IMO and i doubt they would be that petty minded. let alone the possibility they would't be allowed to do so anyway.

And Storm and Nighcrawler are with Hank and Erik, and Charles and Cyclops (pretty much the most important people in Jean's life) are MIA.
