I don't care about the fact that it might flop when it comes to the box office, I just want to see the movie at this point :yay:. At this point, the negativity doesn't bother me..we've been dealing with for MONTHS.

Awesome pic
Do you think he's teaching her to control her powers or they're fighting off soldiers? Would they go deeper like the Xavier teach Erik in FC?

When you're talking about super-hero films - the defining block-buster of this generation - the numbers are very important as both an indicator that the films are appealing to their audience, and also that they are securing their sequels. Most of us nerds have nothing personally to gain, but people like seeing things they like succeed. It's quite easy to understand really. It's also easy to understand the act of diminishing financial success when you're backing a sinking ship and have a history of down-talking competitors.

A crappy box office means not many people care about seeing an X-Men film. That’s not a good thing.

That's not the case.
We are talking of movies that gross an huge amount of money even if It is far away from Disney.

At that level the difference in production budget are often unattached from previous one's box-office and invisible in quality term.

Avengers made 1500M with a budget of 220M
Age of Ultron get a 250M budget that is a very small rise (maybe just Rjr contract)

While in X-Men Movies, Apocalypse get 178M budget after the best selling DoFP that get 200 after the low First Class.

The difference in budget go all in stars' contracts without a real gain in quality (Fassbender is better than RDjr for example)

So in the final product there are no sensible difference.

instead of you means that you need many people as possible know the X-Men, i don't understand the reason, 'cause that has an huge cost that we pretend to not see in Disney movies (in term of cinema language, as in term what can be narrate)

these predictions for me are shots in the dark (I still think the movie will do well at the local box office)
but in the face of every attack this movie suffers more than a year, the marketing does not exist waiting for the merger to be finalized, and all this campaign to "cancel" the film (still existing), it is not scary that he is dropping below the expected..the movie now basically needs to prove that it exists and that it has not been canceled .. marketing has little more than 1 month to improve this situation.

They’re sort of competing. The military’s after Jean because of the incident at Red Hook. This brings them to Genosha. Jean reacts violently (as seen in trailers/clips) while Magneto tries to stop her from hurting the soldiers/Genoshans. It’s interesting because Magneto struggles using his powers against Jean, while she barely has to even exert energy to use hers.

Exactly.

We've had a box office thread for all the last X-Men movies, so to act like we shouldn't care about it now is so transparent.

X-Men Apocalypse made less money domestically than X-Men (2000). If that's not a sign of decline in interest, I don't know what is.

Does it need a third trailer? Deadpool 2, Captain Marvel and Avengers 3/4 didn't get a third trailer.

I wouldn't be surprised if there's a 3rd trailer since Dofp/Apocalypse had a third trailer but the promotion to this (so far) has been lowkey compare to Dofp/Apocalypse.

they are the actual X-Men. you know, the characters the movies should put the focus on.

the other two arent iconic X-Men, so thats the reason of my previous comment.

I guess I'll see this movie. Get some nice closure on this iteration of the X men.
