It’s funny how they keep casting short guys for the role of Cyclops, LOL. Isn’t James shorter than Famke who’s like 5’11 in the OT? But I’m short a guy (5’6) so I’m a stick up for Tye. It’s hard standing next to tall people.

Yes James is shorter than Famke. I only remember that because James had to stand on a box for this photo.

X2 is still one of the best comic book movies of all time. The Nightcrawler opening sequence is still the best sequence in a comic book movie I’ve ever seen.

X2 is still one of the best comic book movies of all time. The Nightcrawler opening sequence is still the best sequence in a comic book movie I’ve ever seen.

The great thing is that it still holds up. The fact that its grounded in that it takes place in the white house makes it feel and look so realistic. When I first saw that scene, it was amazing just to hear what Bhampf! would sound like in live action and it didnt disappoint.

Yes but at least it wasn't really noticable in the OT. Sophie is a good 4 inches taller than Sheridan and it shows. He's Cyclops jr and I don't buy him as being Scott in his prime

We are in a time of sensitivity gender equality is at a high, but a guy be smaller than a girl and we should be ashamed of the depiction.

I guess there are limits to how a girl and guy should be portrayed in a relationship. a guy still needs to appear stronger to be able to protect his girl.

Some of it has to do with the comics I'm sure....Cyclops is like 6' 2" in the comics so the picture doesn't fit the iconography.

Wolverine being shorter the Jean would not be an issue.

Yikes. Aside from the Xavier and Jean ones, these, so far, have been rough. The suit’s completely photoshopped and it looks like his head is from Apocalypse promotional material with the goggles added. Magneto’s was bad, too.

I think they've just altered the colours of the force from orange (natural flame) to pink-purple-orange (to give the cosmic flare).

The shot of Jean curling up as the force enters her is shot by shot identical in the teaser trailer and final beside the colours.

Putting that aside, everything we've seen visually suggests flame/heat.
The cracks on her skin are glowing orange.
She seems to be burning people when disentgarting them (unlike the last stand where they were just ripped apart).
And there seems the be heat waves radiating from her hair when it begins to float.

It does look a bit like that when it moves in on her during the shuttle sequence. There are smoky tendrils among the cosmic energy, it did make me think of Galactus in RoTSS.

The MCU will do it right in time, we just have to put up with this version for the moment...
