Well I mean they are under one banner now, so you do what’s in the interest of MONEY, regardless of the state the films in. If it’s means Disney’s marketing had to step in because Fox’s team weren’t up to scratch, so be it, we are getting much better content because of it! Btw, the head of Disney marketing is promoting Dark Phoenix, so safe bet they’ve been collaborating:

I think basically the photo shoot they had originally done for the film, similar to this one for Entertainment weekly:

Had to be scrapped because it would be a misinterpretation of what is actually is in the reshot film, apposed to the original route. So they’ve had to pull from actual scenes to compose the posters. For example Raven, looks like they’ve just taken a still from the film, rather than using ones from the photo shoot.

Its pretty obvious Raven wont survive unless theyve given us a massive misdirection in the trailer and its someone else who perishes.

It was reported that disney would rate all fox movies after the merger and decide what to do with them,
so they probably saw that they had a good product on hand and saw the film as a good opportunity to make a profit.
it is good to remember that we are talking about the last movie of a franchise that is among the 10 most profitable, so they would not lose opportunity to profit from it, especially if the movie is good.

The way I see it they promote this. Make some money, ramp up the nostalgia and end it on a high note and reboot it in a few years

And how do you eXplain the New Mutants still being delayed? Dark phoeniX is still not getting a promotion as big as a mcu film. Disney might have taken over the film's marketing simply because they already own foX now, and they have their own employees to do such things.

The trailers are part of the reason I think it is unlikely she makes it through, but the more compelling reason for me is Jennifer Lawrence herself. I do not think she wants to keep playing that role.

New mutants needed over 50% reshoots even before the Fox merger was complete. Dark Phoenix was no where near in the same state.

What would classify as a big promotion? Its not their creation so wouldnt expect big $ PR. Just saying that what some of the people thought a while ago about Dark Phoenix ''never seeing the light of day'' (Grace Randolph) was obviously an overreaction founded on fandom rivalry, not business/economical rationale.

Well duh that’s the point Disney own it now and are a business. All businesses want to make money. Of course it’s not gonna have as big of a push as Avengers. No one is saying that. But it’s quite clear the Disney team are now taking over. New Mutants is completely different at this stage we aren’t discussing that. Probably on Monday should be released online the tribute trailer that is being shown in some EG sessions.
I do not think there will be another trailer for the movie made by Disney, the "final" trailer was unveiled by disney's chief marketing officer on his twiter.

I suspect it will be the tribute/IMAX trailer, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they add a few new shot in it, as currently there’s only two new ones, and it’s blink and you’ll miss. Most the Dark Phoenix is stuff we’ve seen.
