I don't understand why, with the cast this movie has, and more importantly with the characters they're playing, why they only take 2-3 cast members with them. It seems like Disney already knows spending all that money isn't worth it...they're not going to get that money back.

I sure hope the Dazzler actress isn't pretending to sing this song. Having a white actress dubbed with a black singer wouldn't go over too well in 2019.

Well I’m sure she was singing a demo of the song before they found the right marketable artist to make it their own. Sia wrote most of her songs for Rihanna. It’s not an uncommon thing and I’m sure it will go over just fine.

That's different and you know it. A late night show isn't going to invite all 15 members of the Avengers. Kimmel did invite different groups of Avengers on different nights and I can link you to youtube videos since you're so obsessed with the Avengers when absolutely no one brought them up.

I'm talking about Simon taking Sophie and Tye with him to NY ComicCon. Or Simon taking Sophie and Jessica with him to Brazil. Or Sophie and Jessica to Mexico.

You're telling me you wouldn't want to see the whole cast--Sophie, Tye, Alex, Nick, James, Michael, Kodi, Evan and Jessica--on a Moscow promotional tour talking about Dark Phoenix? The people liking your post would be the first to geek out at even the thought of that.

To me it makes sense that the actors for other side/minor characters aren’t there, yes minor characters, even if I like it or not (hint: I don’t but this is is made and named Dark Phoenix, not X-Men Dark Phoenix which is purely international marketing).

Sad that the final entry in this X-Men franchise features the actual team as minor characters, but that’s the way this was shoved behind cameras. They’ve been side and minor characters this entire franchise. Now they’re getting promo’d like them.

That’s going to change in the next iteration of course, and that’s what I call having my cake and eating it too.

I would guess they filmed the Dazzler song before hiring the the artists to sing the version of the song.
So it comes down to finding the best singer for the part. If it came down to it I'm sure they would have been able to get Caucasian female singer suitable for the song.

Emili Sande I quite big in the UK, so I'm sure she agreed that it was fine that her voice is used.
