I really like the density of Nightcrawler BAMF here + that it retains the yellow of their costume in the smoke.
In Apoclypse it was too wispy and faded quickly, I like how it lingers and dispapates here.

I love that Nightcrawler is mid teleport when we enter quicksilver time. Visual cool plus shows they must have been doing it often for them to be iN sync.

I think this will cream the $50 million opening weekend. If it does make $50 mill that is still a solid start and it just needs 6 more weekends of $50 million to meet my domestic predictions

People’s hype is building for this film. Slow and steady and dark and grounded. This is the counter-film that people will flock to. I CAN’T WAIT!!! KINBERG HAS DONE IT

I do really like Ottmans themes (Xavier theme and Mystqiue choice theme in DoFP) the Zimmerman seems to have constant music flowing through the the scenes.

I like the visuals and the textures of that makes sense ..I can tell they chopped the Dialogue up..chaistain’s character needs to be more like Hannibal lecture off silence of the lambs when she is talking to jean grey ...obvious Kimberly doesn’t have that type of writing skills to do so, not a knock on him, he is more of a S.C.I.-fi, pop, writer...chaistain needs to be quoting old literature and bible verses..she basically needs to be talking circles around jean grey so that’s jean grey can feel inferior to her.thats what salesmen do they make you think they are experts in whatever there saling and make a you trust them and end up buying into what ever it is they are saling

Yeah the visuals look great in the space scene. It’s the editing and dialog that’s bizarre. But maybe it’s an edited down clip.

There has to be a study somewhere or a survey that tells the studios audiences, in the long run, prefer the edited down clips presented to them pre-release. Is it because we are then pleasantly surprised that the scene is better when the movie plays out? Otherwise I don’t understand why Studios release these heavily butchered/cut down scenes as promotional material.

Gotta disagree I think his Apocalypse score is better than DOFP and X2.
It's interesting that Zimmer is doing this score since it sounded like Time from Inception was a big inspiration for Xavier's theme in DOFP.

I'd love it more than anything if this turned out to be good. First Class and DOFP are two of my favorite funnybook movies of the last decade, so Apocalypse was a big let down personally.

Ditto. DoFP makes my all-time top 5 superhero movies, easily. There were things I liked in Apocalypse but overall I agree it was a letdown. Really keeping my fingers crossed for Dark Phoenix. I've liked everything I've seen so far...

If I recall correctly there’s a hint of Xavier’s theme so it’s fitting. Could have been temp tho.

There is something about Fassbender. the guy is just so damned cool! As much as I love McKellen's portrayal of Magneto I prefer Fassbender's.

Everything about Apocalypse felt stale, lol. Rewatched it today and it's my least favorite X-Men movie. I don't dislike it, but it's really meh.

I love First Class and Future Past as well and Apocalypse is just meh. Big letdown from the first two films. Apocalypse as a villain just did not work. Awful design and incredibly boring.

All I'm hoping for with Dark Phoenix is for it to be more entertaining than Apocalypse was.

Just as I trust James Gunn with the Guardians, I trust Zimmer with a soundtrack. Really enjoy his work.
