Dark Phoenix X-Men: Dark Phoenix News and Speculation Thread - - - - - - Part 15

The idea that the movie could be great, but some critics will still pan it becase they "decided months ago" is laughable.

when I decide something is going to be bad/awful before I see it, I really just go see the bad side of it.

I don't think anyone has decided per se, but years of negative reporting has done its partial toll, judging by those comments people were making *before* seeing the film. It would take a masterpiece to energize someone going in with the preconceived notion of this being nothing but trash and a waste of time. I genuinely doubt the film is good enough for that, even if it most probably isn't the disaster expected.

exactly, a critic who says "I was invited to see DP, but I will not waste my time" will be partial judging this movie?
I've seen some critical comments before watching the movie and it's hard to say that these people will watch it open-minded to acknowledge they were wrong or not.

Can we please move on from this fobi vs VileOne thing? I don't think everyone wishes to see this go on for pages upon pages. Let it go.

FYI,

I will give credit to Fox. I have been invited to tonight's premiere as a result of the incident at last night's screening.

While the response last night was poorly handled at the screening, they did try to make good and try to offer up additional screenings to the press.

As far as the x-woman line..yes it’s cringy but I just watched Venmon and captain marvel ...there is not a shortage of cringeworthy lines in both of those movies!! Lol

I just saw a new clip in which Mystique tells Charles that they should change the name to X-Women because the females always save the males. :yuk: Bull**** like this makes me glad the Fox universe is ending.
WOW....that sounds atrocious...and stupid, as Jean looks to be killing lots of people in this one....including her.

finding out that it isn't the complete disaster that most behind the scenes sources were playing it up to be is nice to hear.

Hoping for a strong finish. If its better than Apocalypse then I'll probably be satisfied.

That's pretty cool. At least you'll get a chance to see or interact with the cast.

Same. If this ends up being better than that was, I will be happy. I am not expecting it to one of the best entries in series or anything. I just am hoping for decent.

@universoxmen recently watched the movie here in Brazil and praised sophie's work in this, apparently they liked the movie a lot.
