Dark Phoenix X-Men: Dark Phoenix News and Speculation Thread - - - - - - Part 15

Did I miss Tye saying exactly that on the podCast? Are CinemaBlend and Fandom/@getFandom the same company? Did Fandom listen in on the podCast where Tye supposedly shared insider info?

Yeah, where does he say this in the podcast?

They may not have the "X-Men team" on Disney+, but I'm positive they'll have mutant related shows on the service.

I would LOVE a Rogue series leading up to Captain Marvel 2.

Hahaha oh snap so people are making that quote up? :funny:

I'm glad the franchise means that much to Smit-McPhee, but, after Dark Phoenix, I'm not sure the cast would be invited back even if Disney hadn't acquired Fox.

So remember a week before Dark Phoenix came out and people were dragging MIB International telling people that Hemsworth/Thompson-starrer would be an outright bomb? I admit that movie doesn't look good, all that said: Yea that movie's projected to open at $39Mil.

For those taking scores, that's $6Mil more than DPh. Not to mention the budget for that is but a fraction of Fox's film. Even if it drops 5% by next weekend (as the projections have dropped 5% from last), it would still open higher than Phoenix.

I think Sophie, James, Michael and Jessica are guests and filming with The Late Late Show with James Corden in London next week on the 18th. Unsure why they’re still doing promo for Dark Phoenix.

Dark Phoenix sequel

It's definitely that, and directed by Simon Kinberg again! :o

They shouldn't bother now that it has flopped. Is Corden going to ask them about how they feel after its stunning box office performance?

Haha I did find myself thinking wait hadn't Magneto been just been stabbed 4 times by the pieces of his helmet in literally the last scene lol

funny Hugh Jackman said when doing the prestige that Nolan said to him that when Nolan saw Singer's first x-men that he expressed to Jackman that's how he would have approached the x-men
so who knows but all I know no amount of research can help Simon I mean what is

is the the dark knight of the x-men or the LOTR: return of the king cause I got news
it was neither not this version not the version showed last year not what was cut

it is what it is and butchering of a beloved story not once but twice

Kinberg is inspired by all the best directors and movies, yet he fails to do justice to the actual comics arc, where all the great and exciting elements were just there: including great character interaction between the x-men.

 I remember Nolan saying that X-Men was an influence on his approach to Batman.

I don't think Nolan ever said that X-Men was an influence exactly. He merely expressed admiration that Singer beat him to the punch in terms of crafting the first ever grounded, naturalistic take on a superhero franchise before he was able to do so with Batman.
