marvelrobbins you are being abit over dramatic right now, least wait till it actually happens before jumping to conclusions.

it is pretty much a given infinity war will be more age of ultron than civil war.infinity wr is contuning whedon's dumb widow/banner romance-i also didn't like mystique/beast eather-and so much ha sbeen said about new comedy duos
with gotg in film.none of that was being talked about for civil war.

I doubt the Widow/Banner romance will be one of the main plot points of IW, probably not in the top 50 plot points. I don't know how it can be a given that IW will be more AoU, a film with which they had no involvement, rather than CW which they directed and is the film whose events IW will be more directly following on from.

Presumably black widow is the only one who can turn hulk back to banner.

oh, the horror ...

I hope all the Disney and Fox execs have kept up to date with the sig change so they know what they're doing tomorrow morning!

Indeed. The thing he is doing is hyping a lot of people that the deal is done and that right after Dark Phoenix comes the Marvel's X-Men reboot that we all have been waiting. And there is still the very little chance of all this not happening. Seriouslly, he is just hyping me some stuff that may not happen soon or at all.

Eh, actually scratch what I just said. FX (home of Legion) as an entertainment asset could be included in such a deal, though not the FOX channel (home of The Gifted). So what Darepool said basically. Either way though, even people who desperately want the X-Men in the MCU should be able to recognize that this really is not worth it.

True, but there economical benefits to NOT allowing the merger as well, so it's not a done deal.

Fair point regarding the entire movie division, and Disney is already an entertainment behemoth, but Disney already has most of Marvel's film properties, almost all of Star Wars and also an Avatar theme park attraction, so it could be seen as making sense for some of Fox's movie properties/rights to be sold off (ie X-Men, FF, Star Wars IV, Avatar).

Depends if that would raise the cash Murdoch supposedly needs.

feige runs all the marvel studios films so it's likely.

I don't understand the logic here. Feige was there for AoU, CW and will be there for IW. So how does his involvement make IW more like AoU rather than CW?

the talk of new comedy duos and keeping banner/widow romance all earlyy signs it iwll be more than aou than cw.

people ave concluded dark phoenix will be disaster already so i can also conclude things based on mcu record.

Are you expecting that duo to have a tonne of screen time together then? There's about 10,000 characters in IW so even if they went for it hardcore it would have little impact. Also it wasn't much of a comedy thing in AoU so that would actually make it less like AoU.

ultron cracking jokes and the part sequenze which makes the name scene in first class look good disagrees.

But Ultron isn't in IW. Banner and Widow weren't played for laughs in AoU. So looks like nothing in what you were saying. Anyway off-topic, didn't realise I was talking about this in the DP thread so I better leave this one here.

Most people expected that as soon as we started hearing about Disney's plans for their own competing service. The fact that Disney allowed this stuff to happen at all while it was on Netflix shows they aren't averse to the Marvel name being associated with more hardcore stuff. I just think they'll keep the more hardcore stuff out of the MCU. I'm sure they'd choose to integrate F4 instantly but X-Men aren't that simple. And anything like Deadpool could be done outside of the MCU.

Can Disney renew/reboot their Marvel tv shows on their own streaming srvice when it comes time?

Sure they can, apparently the contracts expire in 2019. They may very well continue with the Netflix shows considering the big fan base they've accumulated. I wouldn't be surprised if The Punisher becomes Netflix's biggest show.

Like you, I'm relieved Feige never made the Inhumans film. Now he has a potentially clean slate for the X-Men. Exciting times indeed.

It's not like the shows are ending, just transferring away from Netflix. Did you make it clear you meant that?

the franchise is ending
Netflix is ending
Marvel is ending
the fans are ending
the world is ending
the board is ending :woot:

It's even more overdramatic here than usually. Lordy heavens.

Kinberg should just drop a poster or something to subside the crazy for two pages.
