James Marsden and Famke Janssen would only be In Cameos if they make the cut.So they
wouldn't be mentioned in credits on poster and ends credits. They might even go uncredited
entirely provided they end up In film.

Where I think they'll break away is the posters. If I had to choose three names to go across the top in order of appearance I'd do this:

Michael Fassbender*********Hugh Jackman*********Jennifer Lawrence
In my opinion, that's the best mix of new and old and each have a lot of momentum behind them.

However if they do four names on the posters (which is also very likely) I expect this:

Michael Fassbender*********Hugh Jackman*********Ian McKellan*********and Jennifer Lawrence

I don't think they are gonna bother listing their names on the poster. With X3's poster, it only had Halle Berry and Hugh Jackman.

I think Fox will try and market this as "X-Men's Avengers" (meaning this is taking bits from everything and making a mega sequel), so I see the posters utilizing that and listing the many actors.

Michael Fassbender, Hugh Jackman, Jennifer Lawrence, Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart, Peter Dinklage, & Halle Berry (should she join).

The others aren't big enough names to be recognized (and plus it's getting a little crowded)

I would prefer the XMFC cast over Halle.

If they can't decide who to be the top billing then they will just do it Alphabetically !

I wouldn't even list the actors names above the title in the poster. An amazing group image will say it all.

Or actually, I'd go all the way and list every primary cast member. If you're bringing together such a huge, varied, talented cast with name recognition, sell every last damn one of them.

Of course they'd be in the end credits.

And why wouldn't they? Like, he has some type of rare tropical disease and must remain hidden from public view or the McAvoy name is cursed (like Macbeth...maybe instead they could use "The Scottish Actor") or anything else I'm not aware? :wow:

Not at all, he's amazing. But I don't think he's as marketable compared to the other big hitters on the cast. They just have so many. But that could change, especially if he comes out with a big fit film between now and then. It's all about "What have you done lately?" in Hollywood.

I would prefer the XMFC cast over Halle.

Halle has been the female face of this franchise from day 1 and its highest paid actress. Plus, she'd be the only person of color and it's always good to promote diversity if possible on your posters and marketing materials.

If she's in this at all, I wouldn't be surprised to see FOX place her in front again.

What has Halle Berry done lately?Last Stand was her last big hit.First Class was more sucessful than nay of her post last stand films.Of course James Mcavoy will get mentioned on posters.

I can see them doing posters with James,Michael Fassbender, and Jennifer lawrence representing the past and Patrick Stewert,Ian Mckellen, and Hugh Jackman representing the future.

It could go either way. But Halle hasn't been idle either. She had a critically acclaimed film with Tom Hanks recently which critics say saw her "return to form" prior to her winning her Oscar. And she has some kind of 911-style thriller film coming up too.

The point Is to argue that James Mcavoy Isn't going to be Ignored on posters.I am aware halle got a lot of postive buzz for that movie and her latest film Is getting a therical release instead of going stright to DVD/Bluray.

Some try to act like James Is Ilrelvent to this film. He's one of stars of film.Xavier will almost certinly get focus of X-men In 1973 part of film.hell Xavier may even be time traveler like Kitty was In original comic.

It doesn't matter that her career isn't what it used to be, her name is still recognizable AND this is the role she's most associated with.

i like fassbender but the GA still dont know his name

i'd put mcavoy's name before fassbender

I'd leave them both off...

Some of first Class are bound to be on posters.Plus Jennifer Lawrence Is likely to be female actress they want to push In advertising for film.

I can just Imagine what some on these boards will do If posters only have OT actors on
them.

The question is, will Jennifer be shown on posters in her "human" non-make-up form or in blue ink?

Speaking of posters and promo images, I never want to see something as embarrassingly photoshopped as this released officially ever again.

I still have nightmares about this one:

I would have loved Henry J. to return but John O. is a great 2nd choice imo.

His X2 suite is one of the few themes I can listen to the whole way through and is my top 5 superhero themes.

That is NOT real, is it?!

I've never seen that before. Ugh. How humiliating for everyone involved.

The actual posters were just as bad. I don't know what the hell they were doing to the actor's faces, but it wasn't good.

Unfortunately yes, they were very real. Yahoo! News even had an article on how bad they were.

Nevermind the terrible floating heads, even the silhouettes are atrocious! :D

X3 was a terrible film IMO, but a masterclass in very good promotion. First Class was so haphazard.
