But who would you cast in the First Class sequel as Cyclops, Angel, Iceman and Jean Grey???

This...looks terrible. An amazing amount of suck is found here! Why couldn't they just get everyone together for a natural group shot instead of resorting to this photoshopped mess?

The movie scene shots look good though; loving Emma Frost's frostees and Kevin Bacon's hay-ah.

But overall...it's all pretty meh for me. This movie is not going to make a lot of money.

I don't know, with all the bad word of mouth X-Men Origins: Wolverine got and look at how well that ended. People like the X-Men movies, so I'm pretty sure they will flock to it.

Well yes, that photo is awful. But, know that you quoted a fan manip version of it. So, it's even more awfully photoshopped than the original.

I just wanted to address how some folks are getting all bent out of shape over the idea of Mystique being an early X-man.

It's not that far-fetched seeing as how she was an X-man in Adjectiveless X-men over a year and half ago (even though she betrayed them in the end) and was being considered as an X-man in early drafts of Ultimate X-men.

I think it adds a whole new depth to the X-men Movieverse. It adds layers to her relationship with Xavier and Eric. It also sets her up as being a dangerous threat to the X-men in future movies because she has inside info and knows how Xavier and the X-men operate.

That's pretty much how people reacted to X-Men 1 when the first photos leaked and yet now the fans act like Singer is a genius and should be the only one allowed to direct the X-films. I'm really pulling for Vaughn to get the same turnaround reaction.

It should also be noted that just because Mystique is in uniform in that image doesn't necessarily mean she'll wear one in the movie or that she'll even be an "X-Man." Remember, Angel and Cyclops are both featured as wearing X-Men uniforms in promotional material for The Last Stand and neither of them do in the movie. Angel never even actually joins the team.

First Class Is prequel not reboot.Iceman defently won't be In any first Class sequel.
If they are Ignoring The Last Stand then Angel could show up.

It's not hate as much as annoyance....

I'm not saying that's what you in particular are doing, but a certain point, it's like people, just stop! JUST STOP!

Lightning, this is so unlike you. Wha happen...?

Nothing happened. I was just saying that the poster is just filled to the brim with uber-worst.

But it's more than that for me at this point. For months I've been looking for something to really confirm that my initial misgivings about this project were misplaced. Yet this just doesn't *FEEL* like an X-Men film for me yet. The line-up of characters looks worse than I imagined...they're all B and C-listers that few really care about.

It's not all bad. There are glimpses of hope. In fact, the only strokes of genius at work here is Fassbender, January Jones and of course the magnificence of Bacon. But aside from that? I've NEVER been less interested in a Marvel film than this. It's just not appealing to me, and I was really hoping against hope that the promotional materials would finally hook me in. Colossal fail.

Soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, now it's up to the trailer. If THAT doesn't do the trick, this may be the first X-franchise film that I actually skip on until rental availability. Not into wasting money on films 'just because'.

And yes, it KILLS me to type this.

And let me just say this too: I WANT to like this film. God knows I have tried looking for the positives--and they are there. But this is the first time where the negatives outweigh them.

This is like going to see Diana Ross and the Supremes...but with no Diana Ross and only one of the original back-up singers. :/ It's just not the same.
