Apocalypse Young Cyclops/Jean/Storm? Casting Ideas - Part 1

My point was the second half of my quote, but I digress. I just don't know why everyone's clamoring for a guy, without knowing the first thing about him. And even if he is good in that new movie, it doesn't mean he's right for this role. *cough*Jennifer Lawrence*cough*

I watched smoke here in the uk which he was good in as well but also to play Devils advocate. What makes him not right for the role?

That isnt surprising. Though you could just ignore what he says. Thats what I do here.

Moving on... I cant wait to see the actors they will hire for the other villains!

Looks like I missed all the fun again. If he has tested for the role and is cast, I trust that Taron can do an American accent.

I know I don't want either of the American actors up for the role to get it.

The appeal of this franchise is very much in the overseas market (see box office for DoFP) so casting actors who aren't American might not be a bad idea.

Agreed. I don't think the actresses up for Jean are any indication that her role will be any bigger than Scott/Storms.

Well considering the talent and names mentioned i expect Jean and Scott to maybe be done better this go round or at least that's what I'm hoping. For Storm I expect nothing but an empty suit with a line or two and to display power. The actresses up for the part are crap looks wise and talent wise so so. A younger "cough cough" black actress with no clout is playing a character that's never been developed even when having an oscar winning actress in the role doesn't inspire any hope. Them Storm contenders are there not for acting but looks wise that can in Fox's mind pass for a younger Berry, which that Coleman chick certainly does not.
