The Dark Knight 12 Film Clips for The Dark Knight on iesb.net

I can't describe how happy I am with what these 12 clips have shown. The one clip of The Joker is just amazing. I've been waiting 3 years for this film and have lurked every chance I get to see something like this and here it is.

I would just like to thank this forum and eveyone here for allowing me to see this.

I love the hope in peoples faces when Harvey Dent is giving his speech. People are really willing to believe in this man. Which only makes his fate all the worse.

I think the thing is on some crazy sort of revolving axle or central hub? It keeps the rider upright (he never goes down), but the tires seemed to roll sideways, keeping him from having an all-out Evel Knievel experience (sliding, falling off and eating pavement).

I remember the word "sidewinder" being used a long time ago (as in "last summer and autumn") when talking about this pod thingie. At the time, I assumed that maybe it meant the riding portion could switch around/pivot 90 degrees but the wheels stay pointing forward (where the wheels were lined up like the from of the Tumbler...*ahem*), for zero-turn or whatever.

It never occurred to me that the wheels might spin/rotate the other way, on an entirely different (and unexpected) axis, which the clip seems to show. Pretty damn cool, if that's what is going on!

:wow:

I'm not sure, but I'm sure it'll be mentioned in the movie. And the accompanying toys will no doubt have this "feature" included as well...

"Sidewinding lateral slide action!!" and so forth...

:yay:

yup, they roll sideways. At first it threw me off, but it's whacked the way it works. Now I know why only one guy in the world can presently ride the sucker!

I can't wait to see it on screen! Very clever design.

The clip of the Joker by the money...whoa! That my friends sealed the deal for me. If I had any doubts about this movie they are officially gone.

In the last clip the joker kinda laughs like a monkey.

He has got a funny laugh there. It seems as though he's chuckling through his lips, he's trying to contain his amusement. I love it.
"Oh, you wanna' play?"
Ledger is amazing.

I can say the clips is not spoilish as I assume. Just a wee bit, but not much to ruin the movie for me. I think this movie will live up to the hype, bar none.

And I agree with many on clip with Joker. Heath nail it perfectly. :hoboj:

You don't think he really chops that guy up do you? I mean, he did seem pretty serious about it.

Okay... that fight in the skyscraper/office? 10 times better than any of the rubbish fight sscenes in the first movie. Made me actually think I was seeing a Batman movie.

Batman's voice is still ridiculous though, damn it.

The part where the Joker explodes at the mobster after he gets called a freak reminds me of a similar scene in Mask of Phantasm when the Joker blows up at that crime boss.

I love the menacing, pissed off side of the Joker.

It will be interesting to see where people rank Nolan in terms of their favourite directors after seeing TDK.

He's already my favorite director. Prestige solidified that.
Same here. It's actually one of the reasons I'm so excited for TDK - I know he won't let it go to crap. :oldrazz: He improves with every outing.

they dont really give away much, i didnt watch all of them though

Could have not said it better myself. These clips basically show 4 things:

1) The action = great
2) The acting = great
3) The dialog = pretty damn great so far
4) Ledger = Oscar nominee (again)

Clip #1- Let me just add that the "Batman has no limits" bit sounds not-at-all forced. This, how did Guard say it? Something-response? Didn't feel like forced to me, at all.

Clips #2,3- Thank the Lord for Maggie. And Harvey's great, and their chemistry is great. Aaron should shine in this film, too. From clips #1,3, sorry, I'll have to disagree that Bale doesn't give an interesting performance. He seems very settled in the role.

Clip #4- Rooftop meeting. Wow. Batman seems a little awkward at one point (when the camera pans to the Signa;'s left), but I don't care. And *gasp* Batsy doesn't speak a lot! The dialogues still seem a step up. Oldman seems as if he has more to do, never a bad thing.

Clip #5- Good, solid scene. BB quality between them.

Clip #6- I don't care bout the Devin guy from CHUD (I have nothing against him), but... if he can't see the improvement in the action then he's blind. One minor complaint, during the shot of Batman flying above Hong Kong, something more grandiose in terms of music would be better.

Clip #7- Good, solid scene. Nestor is fine for the part. The direction steals the scene for me.

Clip #8- F**k me! He can be really menacing in a straightforward way, can't he? The mob guy can't act to save his life. He's the stereotype of a stereotype. Heh! Fantastic scene, though.

Clip #9- Great scene. At last, chemistry between Bale and a girl! I hadn't seen that since Equilibrium (him and Emma Watson). Thank God for Maggie.

Clip #10- Caine's speeches are great as always (I was never bothered by them in BB), and it makes more sense than it did in the trailer (naturally).

Clip #11- Good, solid clip. I liked how Dent does the damage control.

Clip #12- Showdown clip. What's not to like?

Aaah, I like what I've seen so far. No, that's an understatement, really.

i got hooked on Nolan without even realising it. I'd seen Insomnia, loved it, wasn't till i saw BB that I found out Nolan direct it, oops!

I only wanna see clip 12. The only one ive watched was clip 6.
