I conceded T.O. is better at YAC and blocking but Moss goes up and gets it like very few. As far as getting off bump coverage Moss rarely encounters it because he routinely is given a 5-10 yard cushion by most corners.

T.O. isnt even the best pass catcher on his team so far this year; that would be Jason Witten.

Dont bring up how Moss played in Oakland; how did T.O. play with drew bledsoe as his qb?

Moss in his prime is worlds better than Owens in his prime. Faster, more athletic, with much better hands. Randy Moss will go down as the greatest wide outs ever; Terrell Owens will go down as one of the mostover rated of his generation.

He led the NFL in dropped passes while also leading in touchdowns. That shows his talent if obvious; so is his inconsistenacy. He works hard; but you cant give him too much credit when what was his best season ever, 2005, was destroyed by his blatant immaturity.

Randy Moss in his prime; which he appearently is still in; is up there with the best recievers EVER.

haha...most overrated?

maybe not overrated, but untill he has a ring, the antics will always be signature to TO

Point being? Reggie Wayne had better numbers than Marvin Harrison, even before Marvin missed the Tampa game. Who's better?

You want to compare 5 games to 2 years?

TO has been a bona fide top-level receiver for the last 7 or 8 years. 800+ receptions, 12000+ yards and 119 TDs. Everyone should be so overrated.

Owens played the latter half of the season with a torn tendon in one of his fingers and if that was anyone that the media could stand, he would have been hailed as 'courageous', 'tough' or whatever other ridiculous superlatives that usually get tossed about.

He's long had a problem with drops (13 last year), but look at that man's numbers over the years and tell me he's inconsistent. Steve Smith had 11 drops last year; Andre Johnson had 11; Reggie Wayne had 8. They're all top receivers. Are they inconsistent too? You act as if Moss has never had issues with drops (8 last year). Most of it can largely be attributed to him half-assing it when it suits him.

You're chastising TO on immaturity when Moss is in the conversation?; running over a meter maid or whatever, "I play when I want to play", "straight cash, homey" (which was hysterical :o) and how Moss basically quit in Oakland. Come on.

Randy Moss in his prime; which he appearently is still in; is up there with the best recievers EVER.
Both of them are in the discussion for best WR ever, not named Rice or Harrison. Whomever you prefere, they're both comparable talents that have different strong suits while still excelling and being elite over the balance of their careers. You acting like the conversation is between Moss and some scrub is nothing but Patriot homerism and you talking out of your ass.

After being delayed by spilling milk on my couch, :cmad:, I've come to remind you all that NO ONE can top this post:

the t.o. vs. moss argument thus far this season is incredibly one sided ;)

T.O. is fantastic no doubt; but he gets more talk and more hype than anybody; Moss, Harrison; Smith, Ocho Cinco. Someone who leads the NFL in dropped passes is not worthy of such immense buzz. Hes over rated due to all the hype arouind him; not that he isnt talented.

Owens played the latter half of the season with a torn tendon in one of his fingers and if that was anyone that the media could stand, he would have been hailed as 'courageous', 'tough' or whatever other ridiculous superlatives that usually get tossed about.

He also led the NFL in td's. How much did the finger really effect him? He dropped 3 passes on Monday; isnt his finger ok? His hands arent what they used to be; not surprising as he is 33 years old.

T.O.'s deal is not just drops; its how and WHEN he gets them. Dallas is my 2nd fave team and I watch whenever I can; his last real "clutch" performance where he took over his teams offense was the friggin super bowl 2 1/2 years ago when he was the teams offense when the running game sucked.

1st off; TO. is 3 years older then Randy. This season at season Moss; who is 30; is playing like he is 20 and like he is finally mature. When T.O. was 30; he was destroying the entire Philadelphia team despite averaging 109 yards a game halfway into the season, so obviuosly getting t.o. the ball is not what it takes to make him happy.

Quit; not be a team player is bad; but can you even fathom just HOW BAD; how big of a distraction it must be; when it effects the team SO MUCH that they have to kick you off? If Moss is a quitter; T.O. is cancer, which is worse. Lesser of 2 evils; but in this case thats T.O.

It was about the extension and that **** was indefensible. Him crying about a new deal and how he "risked his career by playing in the Super Bowl" was one of the most selfish and distasteful things I've seen in sports.

It's pick your poison. Randy will occasionally slack off and stop trying. Owens becomes an Ass Supreme if he doesn't get enough hugs. I would have liked to have seen Mariucci or Reid put a gag order on TO and hit him with an increasingly hefty fine each time he said something stupid. Otherwise just ignore him as long as he brings it on gameday.

At his peak, I think only Rice was scarier. Moss was too much of a beast. I give Harrison the edge now because of his consistency, but Moss still has time to surpass him if he can keep showcasing the Randy of old.

...

It must be near Halloween. I'm having a hard time believing I took the time to defend Terrell Owens, regardless of his talent.

Moss has been fairly quiet since the whole meter maid incident.....what if on Sunday, neither of them have any impact on the games outcome...??

I hope Patrick Crayton outdoes both of them. :o

Part of me hopes the game is a blowout. I've reached my breaking point with this 'Duel in Dallas'/possible Super Bowl preview stuff.
Of course, a larger part of me says just turn away from ESPN and enjoy the game.

Stupid hype.

imo in order for cowboys to win, they have to play some great defense. Pats are scoring more than 30 each game
