I don't care for the Patriots or Bill Bellichick, but if teams are sick and tired of the Patriots running up the score, my advice would be to stop them.
1. I made the observation after one game - hardly a "weekly rant".
2. I have no problem with the Patriots scoring tons of points and running up the score, just don't run use the final seconds to run useless plays instead of running the clock out and protecting your team.
3. You're an idiot![]()
"Colvin shouldn't have run that in for a TD, thats being disrespectful and wasn't classy. Running up the score again." I think that would be pretty much how it would go. Hey, they gotta find some reason to ***** about the Patriots.
Its your opinion that they are useless plays....and no one called you names so I'd appreciate if you did the same....

If you don't understand the difference between adding another score in a blowout with less than a minute left in a game and continuing to play even when the score is up, you are sorely lacking in intelligence.
Of course given your record you could even understand the difference and still be a tool
Adding another TD when you can run out the clock is stupid, dangerous and irresponsible.
Adding TD's in a game you are dominating is not.
Also, you started by mocking me - you reap the seeds from which you sow.
move on.considering there are 4 quarters at 15:00 apiece....as professional athletes and I would expect 110 percent for all 4 quarters, regardless of the score....
You are about to sow your seeds....
You went on for a solid 2 hours the other night......repeating yourself....you made your point. Several times....move on.
If Jake Delhomme didn't get injured this season...it would have been a closer game. Maybe even a upset. But the Colts were the better team today.
I think Carolina can go 9-7 and win the South. Just a tiny prediction.
t:Yes, from the players. I never criticized the players.
The problem is with the coaches. It is there responsibility to protect their players (though Belichick's history is that he cares less about his players health and more about winning), which means not risking their careers on plays that have no impact on the games outcome.
Its not high school football anymore.
I guess we will agree to disagree then, I see it as it is your job to win and score points at every opportunity, regardless of the score, regardless of the sport....at the professional level. I highly doubt there is anything in the NFL rulebook stating you must take a knee once you have a significant lead.
I went on for 30 minutes, most of which was responding to the posts of others. Nothing wrong with that. Also I never repeated myself with the same points - I always addressed the exact issues the various posters brought up.
Of course though, you should be addressing BlackLantern and Patent Pending considering it was they that brought up the issue. If they would like to continue the debate - they by all means lets discuss.
If they don't, then there is no reason to bring it up.

It is your duty to win games. It is a Players Duty to play at his fullest. It is a Coaches duty to win games. It is a Coaches Responsibility to protect their players. That is what Belicheck failed to do.
There is nothing in the rulebook about taking a knee, however thats besides the point. I never criticized Belicheck for breaking rules with his call (though of course, he is a cheater), I simply accused him of being an ass.
I do think the reason for the offensive explosion of the Pats is that belichick wants to prove something...maybe that he doesn't need to cheat or that he isnt the horrid person everyone thinks he is for cheating.....the NFL fined him and as far as Roger Goodell (aka the hammer, as i like to call him) considers the situation resolved....and thats good enough for me...
