any who..... Packers v Pats should be a great superbowl (IF that's how the afc/nfc games go)

I hope the Patriots don't win the Super Bowl. If they do then I have to put their damn logo as my avatar for a month. Stupid bet. :csad:

I made a bet like that with Badger, after WIS beat MSU in football (barely :csad:).

Not worth it.

Okay, aside from Romo, do you know what annoys the bejesus out of me? I just got this week's Sports Illustrated and just finished their coverage of the NFL Divisional Play-Offs...and do you know how many times they mentioned the Indianapolis Colts in their coverage of the Chargers vs. The Colts? Once. They mentioned the Patriots more times. How many times did they mention Peyton Manning or any other Colts player? Zero. Every other game's coverage had details of the game, where the opposition went wrong, etc. Not the Chargers win over the Colts. The sports media bias towards the Colts is ridiculous. Its as if they don't want to mention that the NFL poster boy lost a game...just that the Chargers won some miraculous upset against an unnamed team. :whatever:

Is Garrett really worth that kind of money? From what i saw in the fourth quarter of the playoff game from the Cowboy offensive play calling, i wouldn't even pay him half of that.

THe Cowboys will implode next year.

Who can tell me about Chan Gailey? Apparently, he's KC's new O-Coordinator.

"Chan Gailey, is the offensive coordinator for the Kansas City Chiefs. He was formerly head coach of the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets football team and the Dallas Cowboys.

Gailey had previously served as offensive coordinator for the Miami Dolphins in 2000-01 when the Dolphins posted consecutive 11-5 records. He was on the Pittsburgh Steelers staff from 1994-97 when the Steelers won four straight AFC Central titles and played in one Super Bowl (XXX). He was offensive coordinator in 1997 when Pittsburgh ranked sixth in the NFL in total offense and seventh in scoring."

Looks close to done
Ravens Offense-TM-Ravens Jan. 18 - 10:33 am et

Eagles secondary coach John Harbaugh is on his way to Baltimore for a second interview with the Ravens.

A similar report emerged Thursday, but didn't wind up being true. With all the top Baltimore brass heading into the team complex, it seems quite possible Harbaugh will be named the Ravens head coach today.

Pacman Jones-DB-Titans Jan. 18 - 10:24 am et

Atlanta police are looking for videotapes that show 42-year-old lawyer Wanda S. Jackson was lying when she claimed Pacman Jones punched her.

"When our investigators approached her about this, she became uncooperative to the point she stated she didn't know what we were talking about," Atlanta police public information officer James Polite said. If the police do find a tape, it could mean charges for Jackson, but if it could also lead to the police pursuing a case against Jones if they do find footage of him punching her.

regardless of anyones feelings about the Patriots...Bob Kraft proves he runs a class organization. the girl from new hampshire who wore the pats jersey, who was booed in indy last weekend, has been asked to do the coin flip at this weekends afc title game and her and her family will attend the game as guests of mr. kraft and the patriots organization

Yeah, that made me gain a ton of respect for Kraft. I love that move.

Slim must be the editor in chief.

So it would seem. It annoys me that every other team, they pick apart what they did wrong...except Indy. I know the sports media had a bias towards the NFL's poster team...but damn, to mention them ONCE in a breakdown of a playoff game. Its ridiculous.

Words getting thrown between Giants center and GB's Defensive Lineman
anyone see that on ESPN?

Philip Rivers is listed as doubtful for the AFC Championship. The San Diego Union-Tribune has confirmed that Rivers' ACL is partially torn.

However, Rivers practiced Friday and still has a chance to play against the Patriots, pending his performance in pre-game warmups. "It'll be day-to-day," GM A.J. Smith said. "We're going down the same road as (Antonio) Gates." The Chargers used Gates in the Divisional Round despite listing him as doubtful. Still, Billy Volek seems likely to play extensively on Sunday. It had been reported the past few days that both sides were far apart, and that the Bucs front office even offered him less annually than what he made last year.
So this news is a huge relief for me. Thank God Monte is staying where he belongs.
