How did he lose the game for us? Was he responsible for two sure TD's being droped? Was he responsible for all of the penalty's? Was he responsible for the secondary not making plays and the o-line becoming swiss cheese in the second half? I hold him accountable for not throwing the ball away on the two big sacks and a couple of decisions, but all and all he played a solid game.

It comes down to this, who fumbled the snap in Seattle? Who Threw the pick on a 4th and 11 with 15 seconds left? Romo did. The game was in his hands both times, and he lost.

I agree...I blame that mostly on them missing Harrison. I mean in years past it was Harrison and Wayne eating up defenses, both of them gaining 1000 yards and a ton of TD's you take out a weapon like that and your offense is definately goign to struggle. I mean Dallas Clark turn into there go to guy at one point.

I think that is the main difference between Peyton Manning and Tom Brady. Brady learned to play the quarterback position without Pro Bowl receivers and win games despite this. Now that Brady has Pro Bowl receivers he has become dominating. Peyton Manning has played with Pro Bowl receivers for most if not all of his career and has trouble adjusting without said receivers.

Peyton Manning has a tendency to force throws in that aren't there and he has been pretty succesful doing so, problem is alot of time when you are trying that with better defenses in the playoffs with the game on the line, that isn't going to work. Brady on the other hand takes what the defense gives him for the most part. You can see towards the end of the season Brady was forcing the ball to Moss and was not as successful.

It's just dumb, really. He knew damn well that's the last thing he needed to be doing at a time like that, where he should have been concerned about getting his behind in a film room instead of sipping margaritas by the beach with a pop star.
Romo's motto: "Hos before bros."

He's made a few bad decisions in the season and yesterday wasn't the time for that. But I'm glad he did because it meant I won my bet because I picked the G-men to win.

As for the Hawks... no surprise there. They got as far as I expected them to. Didn't think they had much of a chance against the Packers. Since last season I had been hoping Hasselbeck will be replaced with a better QB. I've heard talk on the local news that this could be Holmgren's last season. I hope that's not true. I'd rather see Alexander and Hasselbeck go instead of him.

I dont think the Cowboys did anything, the Giants just played very well. They have the Pats a tough time and shut down Tampa Bay. Dont blame anybody just credit wheres it due, they and Eli have layed very well.

His numbers for his final 6 games after his 296 yard performance:

-305 yards
-51.2 yards a game
-80 carries
-3.8 ypc
-4 touchdowns

Teams know about him now, he aint gonna sneak up on nobody.
Why do you give concessions because of surrounding talent to Vince Young's productivity, but not for Peterson? AD's situation at QB and WR is a joke. If he and Chester ain't carrying the load, nothing gets done on that side of the ball. Playing with the 5th worst passing offense in the league and against 8-man fronts and doing what he did isn't impressive?

I don't think he snuck up on anybody. The man was widely heralded since Day 1 and went for 100+ 4 times in the 7 games before 296. I'd put more stock in him being slowed down because of the torn ligament he suffered in the Packers game, the fact that Minny's pass offense isn't worth anything and/or hitting the 'rookie wall' before believing teams just figured him out.

Also, those numbers are skewed because Chester had some really big games in that 6 game span. Gotta go with what's hot.

I agree 100%

because during those final 6 games AD played bad, the team took off, had many predicting playoffs, but mopre importantly, tavaris jackson some played damn good football at times during that period. So during this skid, his qb played for 2 games with ratings over 100 and another 2 over 90. AD actually played better when his teams passing game didnt exist.

I can agree with that....when you throw to top notch WR's your whole career you have to be used to that. You lose a piece and its going to show, which it did this year.

I actually agree with you for once, that Jackson did play much better, but alot of that had to do with teams putting 8 in the box to stop AD and Chester...it works both ways.

How many games did AD miss 3-4? What weeks?

Crayton stopped short on what woulda been a td pass to win the game. Blame it on him.

I believe he missed weeks 12 and 13 (?) and thats what I mean by he snuck up on people....nobody was really gameplanning around him ubtil his huge game and then his season was pretty much done. He had one more game where he put up 100, other than that...

So these guys should be watching film fifteen hours a day?

Uh......yeah. It's his job to be prepared to the best of his abilities. Sipping margaritas in Cancun ain't gonna help him a lick.

Spending time with your family and lower profiled people like other players probably did is going to help then huh?

There's nothing wrong with spending time with his family. No duh. But taking a vacation to Mexico with his celebrity girlfriend when he should be doing everything he can to prepare for an incredibly important playoff game is absolutely the wrong thing to do. Especially when it has a high chance of becoming a distraction.

Going on vacation before a divisional playoff game is and was a mistake.

IT'S THE PLAYOFFS.

You have to prepare much more harder for an opponent each week!

I'm not putting all the blame on Romo, but he should have been studying the Giants, because they are a hot team. But I guess he gets a free pass to Cancun for the week. :down

It's like skipping classes for a week. In the end, it's not worth it. It may be cool at first, but then you get your grades and think, "Man, I could've done better."

I guarantee that if the Cowboys prepared better and studied film and practiced each damn day, they would be hosting the Packers.

The Brady throw was stupid, i dont think that faked anyone out in the entire world.

We don't know if it was a distraction for him personally... you are going to convince me that this was a distraction for the team's preparation? Uh uh... not buying that... that is just ridiculous. But don't pretend you know for certain that his preparation was hurt b/c he took a weekend off.

I guess Peyton Manning wasn't as prepared as he should have been in 05 either... go ask Manning what he was going during his bye week... you'll get a much different answer.
