Yes, loved watching him play too. But Rip is more active.

Might have to catch a little of that tonight. LA vs LA.

Feels like a playoff game even without Kobe

Why is Billups & Paul playing on the floor together? Why not bring Chauncey off the bench?

We have not true sg in our roster but I like the backcourt of Billups and Paul...two great generals in the game...

Having 2 generals is over kill. Plus Billups is old. He should be resting more. Put one of the other PG's in with Paul, & still bring Bllups off the bench.

Seems to work. I see no reason to change it up.

To be fair, Chauncy has never been what you'd call a true Point Guard anyway.

Really? I always considered to be a true PG. I just think that with this schedule. The oler players should rest up more. The Clippers have a great opportunity to make waves this season. Hate to see a set back with Billups getting hurt.

A suit sitting on the bench is a good look for Kobe. He should stick with that.

We have great depth at the guard position with Foye! Moo Williams and Eric Bledsoe...rest won't be a problem...Also last season the Mavs won with Barea, Kidd, and Terry on the wing...

I mean, he only averaged about 5 assists for his whole career. He's a shooter. A clutch shooter. Besides, just because he starts doesn't mean he's gotta play starter minutes. A good coach knows how to take care of his vets during a long season......too bad they got Vinny. :hehe:

You know somethin', Bynum is kicking their asses.

He wont be playing for 2 weeks anyway. He just has to play well enough to make the eventual deal with Orlando more enticing is all. :o

Great first half of basketball so far!

That charge call was offensive! Jesus! Thank god its preseason!

That was clearly an offensive foul! Blake has position and Barnes was out of control...

cuz they got 4 point guards.
Pretty much...

It's like saying "Why were the Knicks playing 2 small forwards on the floor back when Scott Layden was at the helm?"

...because they had seven of them.

He's more of a 2-guard who operates best from the top and doesn't move particlularly well off the ball.

Playing point covers up the off ball stuff by just letting him drift higher as a bail out option to hit 3s.

Took him a long time to find his feet in the league because teams were trying to play him as a straight two guard and he had trouble working under regular off-guard conditions.

It wasn't until he was at the T-Wolves that they started playing him at the point, where he started to show first glimpses and then just more overall efficiency. Which is what led to Dumars seeking him out, which was a perfect fit because he's not really what you'd call a pure point guard and it fit in their system - with transition being the first option where he was given the green light from the top if things opened up, then Rip as an early option on the circle cuts and then they'd fall back into their offense.
