The Dark Knight 4 "Dark Knight" Scenes to be Shot in IMAX!

so there are 4 scenes. i think the article pretty much confirms that the first one will be the prologue about Joker's backstory. any idea which the other 3 are?
It's a prologue introducing The Joker. It doesn't say anything about there being a backstory or origin.

And I'm hoping there in one IMAX scene where Batman is beating the absolutely **** out of The Joker.

at this point it could be anything ;), although that blurred photo looks to be that Joker is pretty much scarred by the time the bank robbery scene takes place.

i'm guessing it would be what the Joker would look like under the influence of Scarecrow's fear gas.

Which takes place at the very beginning of the film :cwink:.

I thought that as well. But considering that Phase 2 Scarecrow was deemed "too scary" by the WB execs, I'm not holding out much hope in the fear gas department.

hmm, if this is a prologue, The joker scene could be told with flash back through Gordon explaining,

"Armed robbery, double homicide."

what do you think?

I don't know.

According to the set reports, the Joker goons (including Mr. J himself) enter the bank and shoot their weapons. Of course, that doesn't necessarily mean they were shooting AT anybody. They could've just been scaring the people in the bank.

Based on the sides, we know that The Joker has a gun and steals money from the bank. There's armed robbery.

We also know from the sides that The Joker kills the bank manager. That's one homicide.

I'm assuming that the goon holding a gun up to The Joker also bites it, so he would be the second.

But what about the second goon? What happens to him? Maybe the one goon turns on both of them, shoots the other one, and then holds The Joker at gunpoint.

That sounds very plausible, as we all know things can change.

the fear gas Joker?

I'm hoping the other 3 will be scenes with a slightly hallucinatory, unsettling quality (e.g. like seeing Joker for the first time) rather than just balls-out action or chase sequences. Maybe they could all be Joker scenes, make us feel like we're in the room with him.

that's what i'm thinking. i'm kinda think LOTR, you know? i'm not saying we're getting an origin tale for The Joker, just a backstory of sorts to further expound on where they left off in BB.

when did they say that?

Or we get the " TWO MONTHS LATER " at the bottom of the screen.

Chances are Nolan will switch back & forth w/o the addition of textual cues to tell the audience a jump in time has occurred. He's done the same for his past movies.

Yeah, so I've heard. But that was before the actual release of Begins. The folks at WB were still licking their from B&R and didn't know exactly how to handle this beast. Now that they (and we) are familiar with the tone of the franchise, I think it's safe to say they're willing to let Nolan take this as deep and dark as he wants. The first Joker image speaks volumes about this.

LOL! yeah, i think Nolan needs to somehow place some kind of "marker" for the passage of time. quite a number of complaints of BB from the non-fans i talked to is that they get confused with when it was young Bruce Wayne and when its present day.

i couldnt really argue about it because i had the unfair advantage of reading the script beforehand, heh. :o

Good god, that's terrible.

He lands on the front of the limo, smashes the wind shield taking out the driver.. then he repeats the lines from Year ones first reveal.

"you have eaten well, while Gotham has starved, it ends tonight."

along those lines, except it was the judge in the back of the limo..not Falcone.

oh yeah! i was hoping he'd say those line somewhere in the film. seeing him smash through the windshield would've been cool, but smashing the sunroof and pulling Falcone out through it is good enough. :woot:

thanks man! i'll give it a listen a little later. :)

ok, from what miranda fox said....she said that joker will be joker threw out the whole film, and that jokers "people" have no clue of the Jokers where abouts are. what if they still dont know its him while they are robbing the bank, he pulls something crazy or does not stick to the plan, and his men turn on him not knowing it's their "boss" removing a plastic mask with smeared makeup, the brown skin and paint explanation?

or not or whatever.

i think nolan has us fooled.

making the sequel we all really needed.

this summer Martin lawrence reprizes his role as The "Dark" Knight.
