I'm starting to wonder if part of Lana's motivation to be with Lex is going to evolve to a desire to "save" him: an obviously impossible task.

Maybe to some degree but I think it has more to do with her being on the rebound with Clark, and Lex was in the right place at the right time.

Oh, I agree with that, but notice, I said "evolve." I don't think it's there yet.

It just seems to make sense that as she gets closer to Lex, and in light of past history.. she will be more and more aware of Lex's dark side. I'm not so sure she will go running immediately away because of it. I can see her hanging in there (again) thinking that perhaps he will come around if she loves him enough. She doesn't exactly throw in the towel very easily...

LOL! Avid, my dear.. I never realized what a Clex fan you were. :p ;)

LOL! I'm not really, but sometimes it just hits you in the face.

Actually, I agree, but only partly. I think Lex does truly have a thing for Lana.. she fits his Oedipal criteria, and like someone else pointed out, Lexmas revealed a lot about Lex's true desires.

Lexmas was a manifestation of how he wanted his life to be and the life he wants is what Clark has.

But I also think that by Lex's very nature, he will be more than happy to *use* his relationship with Lana against Clark, in all the ways you've pointed out above.

I also think he will lose interest in her, but only after he realizes that she will ultimately choose Clark's *way* over his (once she realizes Teh Evilness within.)

I hope that's sooner rather than later.

I'm starting to wonder if part of Lana's motivation to be with Lex is going to evolve to a desire to "save" him: an obviously impossible task.

I cant fathom what her motivation is, but I know it aint love.

Perhaps she'll see Clark doing something super come next season...

Truth be told, I secretly wish he does something nifty in front of the unsuspecting. :)

So, uh, early in the episode, when Clark and Martha were talking about Jonathan, did she say, "I wake up every morning and feel him inside me..."???

...'cause that would be pretty hot...

you mean to "save" as on top of to "change" him, because that's what girls always do or try to do..

that probably can be used, if he says what he said to Clark, something
along "Don't give up on me yet", combined with "Only your love can save me"..

she will have some tough choices to make..
hopefully come out stronger out of it all.. :)

could have even been a topic of the talk with Lois..
like, "why do we always think we can tame the bad guy"..

I think it is more of a point of the writers wanting the Clark/Lana fans to get over the realationship. I mean really the series is coming to a close, maybe one more seasion or two at the most. For most of the first 3 to 4 seasons you really wanted them to get together, now we all know it is not meant to be so I think the writers are kind of trying to turn us against Lana just a little.

Actually Void revealed that Lexmas was a real alternate version of the future.

Anyone else find it funny that Lex can quickly deduce that since Fine disappeared in a hundredth of a second, he's an alien. Yet in Mercy, when Lex tells Lionel "One second he's next to me, the next he's across town."

Uh lex put 2 and 2 together baldy.

Actually I think a small part of Lex is in denial about Clark. He doesnt want to believe that he was lied to all throughout their friendship.

Not really.... he tried to convince Lana all the time that Clark was lying to her, especially in early season 5.

I think hes aware Clark has been less than honest.

Yeah, I know but it was a still a reality showing us that Lex wants what Clark has.

Like Lois said, Lois has had her share of the "bad boy". I'm thinking that the more Lana sees of Lex, the more she will want to save the bad boy in him and the closer they will become.

Traditionally, Lana never finds out until the very end when Clark takes her flying the night before he leaves for Metropolis.

Then again, traditionally Lana marries Pete...but not before becoming a miserable wreck wandering Metropolis doing non-jobs and living as a bum because she doesn't know what to do with herself over Clark. She gets pretty abused in the comics as well.

I missed the epsiode. But I can still get it and watch it. How much good/great is the episode to worth me going to get it?

One of the top 3 of the Season. You really shouldnt miss it. This episode had everything in it, not even any yucky Lexana kisses.

I missed the episode.

May anyone tell me what role Brainiac played in this episode, and what happened to Lex with the injection?
Also, may someone list the highlights?

I'd read back a few pages, but I might spoil myself of next week's episode.

Thank You.

You want me to give you the episode through AIM?

I said theres "a part of him." Remember Lex has a lot of duality. And I think some of his "its a shame that a crisis like this is the only thing that can bring us together" rhetoric is genuine since he keeps repeating it.

Yucky? Little immature are we?

Bro, we're on a message board talking about superheroes...

:p

Since when is that immature? I said immature b/c of some ppl's idiotic disgust with the Lex/Lana relationship. They're both adults...nothing gross about it.
