People on the net think things are subliminal disses all the time with anything lol
Well this netizen still thinks it was a diss. :p Not that Lois was referring to herself, but it was still a ****ty thing to say.

Still.. loved this episode even more after a second viewing.

I swear, if I had Clark's powers & Luthor threatened me after I tried to save his life I would have beat the crap out of him.

Wasnt Clark and Lex's conversation after Lex got injected? If Clark tried to attack Lex...Lex would have most likely survived. That'd would have been funny to see though, espeically since Lex now knows the weakness to take down aliens with superpowers... he could have just whipped his green K rock out and finished Clark off.

I was talking to some other people who saw it. The only thing they said that annoyed them was when Lana said "He's not my boyfriend." They wanted to strangle her.

I have to agree with Lex though. Clark DID loose Lana all by himself. Lex did nothing. Well okay he hired that one Chick but still. I think the reason Clark just left & said nothing to Lex after that one comment because he was right.

hell yes he was right Clark lost her all byhimself and really to me it is very hard to see what Clark see in her besides looks. I mean due to bad writing I feel they have killed Lana that she really does seem more perfect for Lex then Clark and Chloe seems more of a match for Clark.

Well obviously Lex was right. But ya if Clark tried something...Lex could have killed him.

Lex with Brainiac's powers is a deadly combo. Brains and Brawn... He should just carry a piece of Green K with him whereever he goes, Clark wouldnt be able to touch him.

Even with Kryptonite Clark could kill Lex pretty easily.

Personally, if he could have just flash fried him. I don't know if even Braniac could survive that.

Seriously, Clark came to check up if Lex was ok, he tried to tell him he was being used.

Then Lex uses it as an opportunity to threaten Clark.

There's only so much a guy can take.

BTW I love how honest that hypocrite Lex was after he got his powers.

I missed this episode but I'm about check it out now (Watching the Lakers choke in the playoffs despite 50 points>>>>>> Lex with powers)

But it seems like this was a good one

Kobe was Superman again. Too bad his supporting cast didn't come through.
One freakin' rebound and they would've won the series.

By the way: Great episode!

No not really. With Kryptonite exposure, Clark cant use any of his powers. If Clark tried to hit Lex with his heat vision prior to Lex getting the rock, like you suggested, Lex would have survived and reassembled. Hes made of the same liquid-metal stuff Brainiac is built from now. He can heal himself from this stuff.

Clark would have been doomed when Lex survived that attack.

Can that stuff survive heat vision.

It would be worth it to see Lex's face though.

Lex: Ever go through Lana's files again & I'll squash you.

Clark: Squash this

Regardless of Lex simply ending up forgetting everything which will obviously happen it should be one hell of a Show Down when it happens

Ya I think it could. I mean if Clark fries Lex in the face, the liquid metal would simply regenerate his face. Its kinda like T-1000.

I think Zod built these Brainiacs so that they could withstand multiple attacks from Kryptonians under a red son. He even gave them Kryptonian powers but made them invincible to Kryptonite. Lex certainly has an upper hand with his intelligence and powers like these.

"Real" Lois? Whatever.

I disagree. THIS Lois is tough and has a mouth on her, but she has never been shown to be a *****y or mean person, especially to Lana. (Her goofing around with Clark doesn't count.) It just seemed like a very forced and off the wall line of dialogue for her to say.

Well Lois wouldnt have thought that she herself was the Harley, so I guess she was saying that someone better would come along for him. Lois is a pretty astute judge of character remember.

The thing I didnt understand was how Clark fathomed from that comment that Lois understands him better than anyone. That had me confused.

It's because he wasn't really listening all that well, he was too mesmerized by her...um...assets.:O

That sort of brought me back to Clark's conversation with Martha, about how deep inside of him, he knew that Lana isn't the one. Perhaps this was him acknowledging that on some level, and it was Lois who unknowingly hit it out of the park.

werd, that and her gift to him was amazing and very thoughtful.

My thing is next season will we see Clark go after Lois? If so I think tht might be great to see how it effects both Chloe and Lana.

The Incredible Hulk said:
...Anyone else get pissed off at Chloe when she barged in with the birthday cake? I was like "NO! You're "C" blocking Clark... AGAIN!!"
Nah, that would only be blocking if Clark was interested in Lois - or Chloe, for that matter. All three are totally platonic... at the moment. Of course, this is SV. Don't like the ship? Wait an episode. LOL

So.. he was trying to be good and help humanity by double-crossing Fine, right?
Looks like it.

But was injecting Lex with the vaccine and making him SuperLex Fine's plan all along? Is the power going to Lex's head and that's going to make him turn the final corner into evilhood? Maybe Fine wants Lex to release Zod?
Looks like Fine wants Lex to be the vessel for Zod. We'll have to wait to see how he plans to get Zod out of the PZ and into Lex. That'll likely be the better part of next week's plot, not to mention be part of Clark's sacrifice.

Hey.. knock yourself out. Don't hold back on my account. I'll just cover my ears.. er..eyes. :p
Mmm... I'll let others do the talking this time. I open mouth insert foot too much.

I did think it was bull**** to have Lois feed Clark that line with the analogy anvil of Lana being a "bike" and Lois being a "Harley." Cheap shot. I'll use Zing's wonderful line from the other thread.. You don't have to tear down one to build up the other.
She had just chastised Clark for dumping a beautiful, sexy, smart woman. (Some words along those lines.) I don't think it was meant to be a cheap shot. She was just giving him tough love, and said so. Add to this that he was surprised to find that Lois sometimes understands him better than anybody. Great stuff.

I thought Tom was OTT incredible in this ep. From the scenes with Faux-Jonathan, to his scene with Lana, to his scene with Lois. I think this was one of Tom's very best episodes.
Agreed. I loved the nuance when he opened up Jonathan's B-day card.

BTW - did anybody else get a chuckle out of the Wolverine reference? Welling's stunt double got some luv in this ep.

Something funny though.. In SV, Clark said the line, "You aren't my father." Then, in Supernatural right afterward, Dean (formerly Jason) said the EXACT SAME LINE.."You aren't my father." And both were correct too.
I had every intention of watching the finale. I just haven't been able to get into the show though, and I turned the set off about 10 minutes into the show. Oh well. Was it good?

KikiDee said:
Did you hear her after she spouted off how she disarmed the alarm at Lionel's office? She made a face and said I've got to get a night life.
Chloe tows the sidekick line quite well with Clark. She was his "Batman" in this ep. Clark's all set to bust down the door, but Chloe stops him with a "down boy - use your brain first" 'tude. The part about getting a "night life" drove the point home. Her use of the computer to decipher a pattern to the Kryptonian symbols so that Clark could read it was kind of Batman-ish too, but I may be reaching a bit with that since Chloe doesn't go very far w/o her laptop.

Did you notice the eyes.....
I noticed Clark's eyes in the heat vision scene. Wow. Just... wow! Totally on fire there.

Finally an episode really worth watching. Now if Clark only wasn't so dumb...
Heh. Y'know, I kinda said the same thing (the dumb part) when Clark had mysteriously forgotten that Jor-El is using Lionel as an oracle/vessel. Hello, Clark? Remember Hidden?

Clark is so naive sometimes. He's a salesman's wet dream...

- Hey Clark, I've got a great deal on collector's mineral samples.
- Are they green?
- Yeah, but these specimens are *really* pretty.
- Okay, how much?

LOL

Hush said:
Would I be far off in saying this could be the best episode of the season???
Not far off, but I still have to say Hidden was the best of the season. The finale may surpass it, however. We shall see.

DarthSkywalker said:
Most of my problem comes with Clark not realizing Lionel is in contact with Jor-El. I mean after Hidden and now this, it should be rather simple.
Ahuh!

Thumbs up to this one. I missed last weeks, but apparently, it didn't matter all that much.
Not true. Last week's episode was really good. It was very Martha/Lionel centric.

KikiDee said:
I just didn't read it that way. I thought she was just trying to soothe his aching heart by telling him that maybe there's something more that hadn't occurred to him yet. I didn't take that as her dissing Lana. She is his first love after all he really doesn't even know what else is out there.
Agreed. Tough love. Who else on the show can do that to Clark? Nobody. It really does set Lois apart from all the other characters. No wonder he falls for her.

The Incredible Hulk said:
I didn't think it was a shot at Lana either, merely Lois giving clark encouragement that "someone better could come along".

Then again I was hoping she'd smack Lana around in the Talon when she confronted her about Lex, but alas that didn't happen
I kinda wondered about that myself. Lois said she wasn't biased. Excuse me? About Lex? Hello???!!!!!

blksuperman2 said:
The only thing I didn't like was that Clark mysteriously forgot how to read Kryptonian. How'd that happen?

I took it that the pattern that Jor-El put it into probably looked like gibberish to Clark, he just couldn't make it out.

Once the pattern was deciphered he could read the actual message. Just like a decoded English message looks like gibberish until you crack the code behind it.
Perfect. That's exactly the way I saw it too.

Pksoze said:
Also what's with Lana being such a snitch... Clark was trying to save Lex's life.

Everything to her is just about their relationship, how many times has Clark bailed those two out.
You're preachin' to the choir, Pksoze.

I know I haven’t seen Oracle, but from the trailer for Vessel it doesn’t look anything like the episode description.
Trailers have a way of doing that. Some even make the pic look *better* than it actually is. [/snark] :p ;) :D

And finally... the trailer for next week: Is Lex FLYING in that scene?

Damn! I gotta get back to work...

That's what I thought too. And where doex Lex get off telling Clark not to go Lana for anything when all year Lex has been doing exactly that.

I wanted to strangle him at that point.
