6.19 Nemesis - Discussion Thread (Spoilers)

OMG, from S.A.M:

"Nemesis" concerns Kate and Wes Keenan. Both former special forces operatives, Kate was let go because of her temper. The reason she's pissed is her husband is being held prisoner by Lex, who is experimenting on him.
Later there is an explosion and Lex and Clark are trapped in a cave. So yeah, cavesex.
I will have more later. Additionally, Wes Keenan will be in more than one eps...

I dont' know what to make of that actually. Brokeback Smallville...looks like people may get a Clex.

Seriously though, that would be a major predicament, because Clark couldn't just break out...because then Lex would know about him. Talk about a quandry.

If it is *the* cave, then I can envision a lot of close-ups on the Sageeth and whatever cave painting. I can't see them not paralleling that myth in the background, with our boys in the foreground.

Okay so either:

a) Lex is conveniently knocked unconcious just as Clark is required to use his super powers, thus not being witness to it.

b) Lex sees Clark use his powers, but luckily suffers amnesia and forgets it... for some reason.

This sounds like it could be an excellent ep, if it features a lot of Clark vs. Lex, and their interactions trapped in the cave. What would they say to each other, would they vent, could they maybe even find humour in the situation, is some twisted way. Could it be a brief look at the loss of their friendship. Or it could just be a really tense situation start to finish. Whatever it is, sounds good.

Lionel is in Nemesis and plays a crucial part. As for FOTWs, at least at the outline stage there were none. Maybe that changed while I was overseeing another script, but I'm reading the latest draft now and haven't seen any lurking around (so far, at least).

Interesting. Wonder if Lionel is the "nemesis" vs. Lex? Remember the "betrayal" spoilers from earlier this year? We now know Clark's unexpected "protector" is Lana. Will Lionel be the betrayer?
