61 Nights of Halloween (2024 Edition)

I just watched Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem and I swear, I will never badmouth Alien Resurrection or Covenant again because that franchise has seen the bottom with this one. Holy ****, and I thought the first AvP was bad.

That whole hospital scene with the Predalien?

Rule 34 bro, rule 34. :weeping:

Drizz, I really hope you weren't either a) alone or b) sober while watching that. No single person should have to watch that film without a buffer :weeping:
I was alone but not sober. That's why the hospital scene got under my skin so much, which was way over the line for the franchise anyway. But no amount of edibles could make the acting in that movie look good. Who the hell thought it was a good idea to have high school relationship drama in an AvP movie?

The Craft

You know it's the 90s when the local occult shop owner is somehow vaguely Middle Eastern or South Asian or even possibly Eastern European but is played by a Spanish actress.

I caved and watched the first Terrifier this morning because I needed something to watch in the service center waiting area while my car was getting an oil change. Watching this in public was kind of unhinged behavior from me but to my credit, at least I had AirPods in. The choice was between that or Challengers (also a fine movie to watch in public, I'm sure) but that was a little too long and I didn't want to watch that interrupted since Terrifier is about an hour shorter. :o

But alas, I still watched it on my phone. Sorry, Marty.

I gotta say this is totally the type of movie I'd have been more into in high school but I was still taken aback by the amount of gore that went into this. I'm intrigued enough to keep going with the second movie but not sure if I'm gonna venture out to a theater to watch the third one if it'll be on Prime soon anyway.

I've recently watched -

THE BRAIN THAT WOULDN'T DIE (1962) Starring Jason Evers and Virginia Leith. A doctor (Evers) and his fiancee (Leith) crash while driving too fast. She is decapitated. He takes her head home, hooks it up to experimental chemicals in his lab, then goes in search of a woman with a great body that he can put her head on. She is not enamored with the idea.

BLOOD OF THE VAMPIRE (1958) Starring Donald Wolfit, Vincent Ball, Barbara Shelley, and Victor Maddern. A scientist with a blood disease runs a prison and experiments on the prisoners. He frames another scientist for a crime to get him in his prison so they can work on his problem. The framed scientist fights against the injustices he sees and plans an escape.

I'm gonna count this one since I had it on in the background while I was doing work this afternoon but I watched The Batman again. I love how we have both a Halloween and a Christmas movie for Batman. Even more for both holidays if we count animated movies.
