7.09 - Gemini - Discussion Thread (Spoilers)

BWAHAHAHAHA!

I was betting it was 50/50 for you.

If it's any consolation, I didn't even try. I know my limits. :oldrazz:
I saw Zing's post earlier about Grulian and thought "you gotta be kidding me?! THAT's the twist?" I got disgusted and left to do some surfing elsewhere.

Then I got your PM - "DON'T PEEK!!!" HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Then the devil appeared. LOL! I knew it wouldn't be long. I kept clicking here to see if there was any other discussion, but of course, nobody was talking in other threads.

Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock...

It was all over right after your PM. But hey, I called it. I knew it was Bizarro too. Had to be. The best part is, he's still there at the end of the episode. So I'm already looking forward to the NEXT ep, not just tomorrow's show. Huzzah!!! :D

This is a storyline that is ripe with potential!!! I am so excited, too.

Thanks Melly and Serene. Those clips are great. Tom is so fantastic. I almost felt sorry for Bizarro in that last one. :cwink: Both he and Lex want Clark's life and can you blame them?

Pat, you are incredible, less than an hour, that was quick! :oldrazz: ;)

So it's gonna be Bizarro that is so happy he could fly in Persona. Should have seen it coming. He is a better boyfriend than Clark right now. At least the guy is expressing his feelings for Lana a lot. Something Clark doesn't do. Kinda should strike Lana as odd since Clark never says those things. Still Bizana is kinda creepy. But kinda sexy.
Well, they are perfect for each other. Same drives and motivations.

Agreed!

On this, I think I'll wait till tomorrow. I watched almost every scene in Wrath (piecemeal) and it kind of ruined it for me. Knowing what's going to happen (spoilers) isn't nearly as bad as actually seeing it. So that I can wait for. :D

[hangs head in shame.]

Yup. I couldn't do it. :( :D

My Predictions?

Brainiac is gonna try and get Bizarro to join him. They fight and one of them beats the other and the beaten one needs Clark to save himself. Then Clark goes to fight them, Brainiac gets away and Bizarro is holding Kara hostage or something.

(I did out last you by 30 minutes before coming into this thread tho'!!! :oldrazz: )

Seriously, I think you will love Tom's nuanced performance. I get so excited to see him do well.

I was wondering about this too. I wonder if they will end up making Bizarro a sympathetic character, on some level. I keep going back to what MM said about him to Clark - about how this phantom was an unloved and abandoned creature. I felt sorry for him then (even though he does have a nasty habit of ripping out people's organs ;)) and after his words to Lana about feeling love, I felt sorry for him in that scene too.

I think there's a potential for Clark to feel sympathy for Bizarro when all this is over.

On this, I've learned from experience. I can read the entire script, word for word, and still enjoy the ep because the actor's performances makes it "new." But if I watch scenes piecemeal and then watch the full ep later, it looses a LOT of its entertainment value. Because I've literally seen it before. Hard to explain. But I tend to get most of my entertainment from the ACTORS doing their thing.

I've read Welling pulls off a few dandies as Bizarro too - it's all in the eyes - which has me squeeing in anticipation.

That was a lost cause. I KNEW I'd never last. It was silly for me to even try. [slaps self]

Gotta give Serene credit for trying to hold me back, though.

YES!!! I can't wait!! :D

Hey, BTW... are there any Bizarro shirtless scenes in Gemini?

Okay... pull out your Kryptonian translation charts people.

LOL! "Dust me"? Is that a joke because she's dusty from being stored in the basement??? :D

I bet your right! I remember that scene with MM. At the time it didn't make as much sense but now that Bizarro has adapted his manner in a more human fashion like we see in this episode it will.

That's certainly the route they went with Lex. I have always felt sympathy for him. He is love-starved, as well.

ROTFLMAO!!! Must be a private joke on set?!?

And as for the shirtless scenes, not that I saw but one can hope! :woot:

Who wrote that? I see blue and red in the background.

Ohhh... 'nutha question for those who've seen the ep. I know Bizarro phases in and out at the end, which clues the audience into it being Bizarro and not Clark, but what about wardrobe and color? Any overt clues throughout the episode that go beyond how Bizarro acts and what he says?

Omg, if that really was meant as a joke for all of us geek enough to translate the Kryptonian I am TOTALLY impressed. That's funny as hell.

:D

Speaking of Tom's performance, when you watch some of his scenes on "Gemini", he has this weird look on his face, very subtle, but enough to let us know something fishy is going on, so bravo for Tommy, he did a great job.

:D
I wouldn't be surprised. Remember, these are the same clowns who wrote "Made in Taiwan" in Clark's ship and inscribed "Barcode" on the octagonal key along with "Hope" and "SM," short for Superman.

Bunch of comedians up north, ahuh!

Bizark wrote it. :D But to tell you more would be revealing something that happens in another clip. :ninja:

I think it was obvious from the first barn scene from everything he said and the way he said it that it wasn't Clark.

I wonder if we are to assume that Clark never mentioned anything about the existence of Bizarro to Lana? That stuff happened when she was supposedly dead and gone, but I would think that she'd at least clue in to 'Clark's' uncharacteristic behavor. But Chloe knows of Bizarro, so I find it even harder to believe that she doesn't at least suspect that it's not Clark.

I checked and that's what I came up with too. It's gotta be an inside joke.

Pat, the short version of this scene is that the labgirl at the end of Wrath that absorbed the metallic goo was found and is being observed. She is speaking in Kryptonian and Bizarro/Clark is translating what she is saying.

I'm really starting to hate this airing it a night early in Canada business... Makes absolutely no sense...

You know how they've been giving the "C" curl to clark all season? well Bizarro's hair looks messy. Also Blue Jacket and Red shirt. I'm guessing that's Bizarro in the pictures of "Clark" and Brainiac together.

Oh, you can spill. It won't ruin it for me. :D

So Welling lays it on thick? [grin]

I watched Transference this afternoon with hubby and we started talking about how much more fun "Clark" is to watch when he's not... Clark. Kinda funny considering this episode. It'll be interesting to see how long it takes hubby to realize Clark is really Bizarro.

Interesting. I think a lot of things that they leave for offscreenville is dependent on what they need for the plot. For example, Chloe knew to use GreenK on Clark in Splinter, and she knew all about him being an alien - because he TOLD her - but he never told her about RedK. And SHE was the one who discovered the SV High class rings were made from the RedK. So... what? She never put the pieces together between the "Red" and "Splinter," and Clark never told her? Kind of silly, but apparently necessary for the story.

Oh! How cool!!! Gosh this episode sounds all kinds of awesome!!!

HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! Did you stumble in here w/o realizing you'd get spoiled? That kinda sux if so, but I still have to laugh. Sorry dude. LOLOL!!!

You know how they've been giving the "C" curl to clark all season? well Bizarro's hair looks messy.
Interesting. That'll be a first. Usually, they spend quite a bit of time making Welling's hair perfect. So maybe they just let him roll out of bed for this ep?

:slurp:

Yeah, that makes total sense. Also interesting though is that RealClark seems to be back for that ep, so maybe there will be another showdown.

Just finished rewatching those clips again and I swear Tom has a slight grin on his face as he picks up the pen to start writing the Kryptonian symbols. It's ever so slight but enough to notice.

Also one big difference is that Bizark talks about his feelings!!!! :wow: There's probably no way in RL that Lana or Chloe wouldn't recognize he's not the real Clark but you just have to suspend belief. (I can't believe I actually said that!) Anyway, the payoff this time is a storyline with huge potential and getting to see Tom stretch his acting skills. I agree with Pat. He is more fun to watch when he's "not Clark"! :cwink:

Hulk, I'm sorry you got spoiled if you didn't want to but it's so great to have something to be excited about. This place has been pretty slow around here for the last few weeks.
