7.09 - Gemini - Discussion Thread (Spoilers)

Thank you Cyn! ;)

I think Jor-El liberated Bizarro as part of Clark's punishment, then Clark will have to stop him (again!) on "Persona", we'll see.

No, I do agree that he's totally manipulating people, this is still the guy that rips peoples guts out without any hesitation, but I just can't help feeling sorry for him too. I really took what MM said about him to heart, and that coupled with what he said to Lana tonight makes me sad for him. \

I'm a big sucker, what can I say?

G'night people. I'm still anxious to see the rest of the episode tonight. I can't figure out why Bizarro saves Chloe and Jimmy from the bomb. Why would he care?

Bizarro's typically always been a sympathetic character. My main exposure to the character was from STAS, and in that portrayal he wasn't really particularly evil, just kind of destructive. At the end of the day, he just wanted to be like Superman.

I confess that I don't understand why having Clark frozen in the FOS and Bizarro impersonating him for, maybe, two whole episodes make people so happy. When there's so much to still do with Clark... why waste so much valuable, and scarce, screen time with this Bizarro character that leads us nowhere (except, maybe, seeing Clark being berated by everyone later and having to apologize, again)?

I hope when I see the whole episode I'd be able to appreciate this storyline. Right now, I can only hate this stupid and vindictive AI (aka Jor-El) and wonder what's the point of this all. (Oh, and ignore some idiotic comments on other sites)

If they have done it for dramatic reasons to expose some issues between Clark and the other characters on SV and increase tension between characters as they deal with the challenge of Lex, Brainiac etc then it might be good.

I agree there is so much to explore re:Clark and progression forward that I'm for it if Bizarro living Clark's life teaches Clark something.

I'm also not happy about this AI of Jor-El. I think its odd that SV shows Jor-El this way and then have Raya, Lara, and Zor-El describe him very differently. Is there a reason for this? Hmm...

well if I remember correctly, in "Blue" it was sort of stated that the AI Jor el is not the same as the "Real" Jor el (the Jor el that is describe as passionate and caring and such). Clark even Questioned the AI why he wasn't acting like how others have described him to be, but the AI simply said it wasn't his mission to be caring but rather just to make sure that Clark reaches his destiny by any means if necessary. Hopefully Clark will somehow be able to have some sort connection with the real Jor el somehow and someway in order to have a true bond with his real father in the future

I'm with you.

I'm not excited AT ALL to see Bizarro and Lana "getting close" and saying things to each other that she and Clark should have... :csad:

Sounds like just more frustration and disappointment... This season's been full of it.

:csad:

I'm looking forward to Clark having a proper relationship with Jor-El as well. Its no wonder he doesn't look forward to his training.

But if the idea is that Clark learns something, I want to see that! Clark should be playing a part in this storyline somehow, not to be totally absent from it. I don't understand what's the point of not having Clark at all in one, or maybe two, episodes, just for the excuse of a twist and a cliffhanger. I need to see Clark's point of view, his reactions; Bizarro has a meaning and a value, to me, as a viewer, if he's seen through Clark's eyes and/or if he interacts with Clark. Right now there's no progression whatsoever for Clark in one episode where he doesn't even appear, except as frozen figure at the end.

The Eradicator is the only explanation that would make any sense to me.

I think its because its not really Jor-el, there's none of the compassion that would be associated with a warm body, I don;t think you can program and AI to feel.

That makes alot of sense. Thanks.

Hey I agree I'd like to see Clark's POV too but I have a feeling we are going to see that sooner then later. I think the point is that Clark is suppose to "appear" to be in the episode and the twist is he isn't and its all been a setup for the next episode IMO. I'm looking forward to it because we have Bizarro, Brainaic, probably Clark returning and a Kryptonian without powers with a family.

It's definitely Grant!

Just checked kryptonsite, I'm wrong- have to admit that would have been a good twist though.

Did he just fly up in the middle of the stairs???:wow: :wow:...when did he learn to do that?

This episode is boring. Where the heck is Kara?

This episode was great imo maybe not too much Clark bu wen he was in it omg
that bomb saving scene was amazing that was def flightttt!

Finally Clark and Lana kiss and its not even him

This episode had 3 minutes of Clark in it.
Actually more like 3 seconds
