The kiss with Lois was pretty predictable. Didn't he have the same kind of "pretend we're a couple" kiss with Chloe in the early seasons? I can't remember the episode, but it's the one where she had him against the files.

The key difference this time, of course, will be in his response to the kiss from Lois - and vice-versa.

Yeah I don't think it will cause any air bound results LOL, but can I just say, let it be mutual or let Clark initiate so that it CAN be shown as different from the time Chloe laid one on him in that early episode? Cause I'm getting tired of the "everything Clois is doing now, Chlark has done before, except Chlark did it better" shpeal I keep seeing lol.

Please, y'all don't honestly think Clark will end up with Lana or Chloe, do you?

Did you read something that makes you think that?

Some of those Chlark fans are a scary bunch, how they can just twist everything they see into what they want is fascinating. It seems like it'll be necessary to not blow their cover as a couple, but we'll just have to wait and see how it plays out. How people can be upset that Clark is moving towards being with Lois is beyond comprehension, have they not read Superman anything?

As for the episode, more Lois means awesome.

you're from Washington state and you use the word "y'all?"

Does it really matter? I speak/type depending on how I feel. I tend to know a copious amount of words.

Not me lol I couldnt be happier, I just wish there was a way for them to be a couple but that dont seem like it would work while he's still just Clark and not Superman

just odd seeing southern vernacular come from someone from the Northwest, not to mention its not really a word to begin with, but i digress...

Boo-hiss, Mikelus, on the female-bashing. Grow up.

As for Chloe/Clark - yes, he'll be with Lois in the end, we know. Since Season 1, though, I've always felt bad for "best friend" Chloe constantly getting overlooked/ignored/pushed aside/abandoned for more-perfect, more-angelic Lana. I've enjoyed the few Clark & Chloe moments the show has had and would be happy if TPTB threw them together as a pair again this season, even briefly. Clark will likely be the one who gets let down this round (whether immediately or over time may depend on Jimmy's situation), but at least he'll finally have given it a chance. Or maybe Clark will give it a chance and realize he feels more for Lois - and that Chloe feels more for Jimmy after all and thus is truly "over" Clark and they can really be friends without hard feelings under the surface. No more secrets, no more lies, no more pretending.

I really like that idea. Extremely well put IMO.

I don't like the idea.. I think Clark going from one cousin to the other would be squicky, plus the fact that the Chlark dynamic is not what it used to be (then again they even ruined my Chlo-Lo cousin-ship which I didn't think was possible). I used to love their friendship pre-season 6, but then Chloe started taking on the role of Jonathan and in season 7 the role of Martha, plus doing everything for him that he should know how to do himself, practically telling him he should kill Lex.. I don't know, its not just cause I'm not as big a fan of Chloe as I used to be, I just don't think they fit well together, as maybe they would have back in season 5 after she learned the secret but was still the same old Chloe who didn't worship him or call him all these references to God and whatnot like she did last season. Its too weird now.

What bothers me about all that is how it feels like it's pandering to the Chloe fans out there as opposed to actually staying true to the actual established canon of the show.

Why should Clark have to be "let down" by Chloe? As a payback of sorts? But Clark never did anything that deserved getting paid back by Chloe - he was very honest with her on more than one occasion about not returning the same feelings for her that she carried for him.

I agree that it would be GREAT for them to put any of the romantic Chlark notions to bed finally, but I really don't want to see Clark having any sudden realizations that he's really in love with Chloe after all these years. That just diminishes him and his own sincerity. So, he's over Lana, Chloe kicks him to the curb... and that's why he's suddenly ready for Lois? Just. No. He chose to love Lana, and he will choose to love Lois.

I think what would make more sense, and how I'd rather see them handle this, is for Clark to feel some pangs of loss over not having Chloe being in his backpocket as readily as she's always been. Sure, he loves her, but as one loves a best friend that they rely on to always be there. I'm fine with her deciding to finally move on from her feelings for Clark, for herself, but not in a way that diminishes Clark in the process. Ultimately, Clark would be very happy for Chloe moving on to something that makes her happy and fulfilled. He's just that kinda guy. :)

Some people are getting confused with spoilers, there's nothing romantic between Clark and Chloe. The Fever letter is just to create tension between Jimmy and Chloe (with Clark involved), but is the typical one episode thing. Jimmy and Chloe will be engaged, then Davis Bloome (Doomsday) will be really interested in Chloe, that's the main triangle this season (some call it Choomy). Then Clark and Lois will get closer as the season progresses, like TPTB said, Clark will feel lonely but Lois will be there for him, then Lana comes back and voilà, bad timing, more tension and you know the rest, typical SV. But I don't think there will be romantic Clois either, unless the famous restrictions of DC are lifted.

Something that a forum user reported Craig saying at the TWOP:

On Twop.

"Just to be clear from what I'd posted before... Lois is a supporter of a romantic Chlark pairing. Especially when comparing it to the alternative.

I don't think we'll be seeing a repeat of Season 2, in that Chloe will walk in on them kissing, but someone else will see it happening and be puzzled. (No, not Jimmy either) It's all part of the charade, and no different than the early seasons when Chloe and Clark would kiss to throw someone off the trail.

For a Lois & Clark comparison, I'd see "Commited" as somewhere between "Honeymoon in Metropolis" and "Just Say Noah."

Comparing to the alternative? Like what? Chimmy? Herself and Clark? Watch it just be some throw away line. I mean seriously, up until this point, she has always seemed supportive of Clana, and actually used to tell Chloe to move on and that she can do better.. now all of a sudden shes supportive? When Chloe is 'supposedly' happy and engaged to Jimmy? That makes no sense..

Yes, because Smallville always makes sense.

Maybe Maxima?

Hopefully this guy has a good script. We dont need another lousy writer on the show like that holly harold chick or a few others.

Official Description:

CHLOE TELLS JIMMY HOW SHE FEELS ABOUT CLARK — After they leave their engagement party, Chloe (Allison Mack) and Jimmy (Aaron Ashmore) are abducted by a psychotic jeweler (guest star David Lewis) who was emotionally scarred by his wife's infidelity and is now kidnapping couples and subjecting them to a kryptonite-enhanced lie detector that shocks them if they lie. The abductor asks Chloe if she is in love with anyone else- Meanwhile, in an effort to find Chloe and Jimmy, Clark (Tom Welling) and Lois (Erica Durance) pose as a couple and are kidnapped themselves then, asked how they feel about each other. Allison Mack and Erica Durance also star. Glen Winter directed the episode written by Bryan Q. Miller (#3T7455)

It sounds like it could be a cute episode, and I like how this one will refer back to older continuity (and one of my favorite Chloe moments.)

The description is poorly written though. :o

wow. on the surface, it sounds like a bad episode. but maybe it will further along the overall plot of Clark and Lois.
