It's sad that the writers have to promote "Infamous" like it will be a cure to the Lana arc after "Power" and "Requiem". I had no problem with the Lana arc at first. "Bride" and "Legion" were some of the best episodes from the series. "Bulletproof" had enough great moments to make an overall good episode. But then "Power" and "Requiem" seemed like the writers were writing for a different series and completely derailed the season. I mean if they knew the reactions from those episodes would be severely negative, why write the arc they way they did? Instead of pleasing Lana fans, Clana fans and Kristin Kruek herself, why not write a convincing and mature arc where Clark and Lana realize that their aren't meant for each other and move on. It's not like the writers haven't broken these two up before, I mean Clark even broke up with Lana in Season 5, why couldn't they let him do that again? Why create such an elaborate, pointless and ridiculous storyline of Lana becoming a superhero with both her and Clark being coming a superpowered couple then Lana being a kryptonite infected super being? I know the writers have made some silly and poor storylines in the past, but those 2 episodes were almost unforgiveable, especially after all the progress this season has made. The only thing the Lana arc did right was the heartbreaking last scene between Lana and Clark because Tom and Kristin actually made a horrible storyline seem passable in the end. But at the same time, I don't believe Lois will be second choice to Clark's once again loneliness after Lana's depature. While Clark has some feelings for Lois, he's not in love with her, not even close. They are still at the beginning stages of their relationship. There is an attraction between them, but that's all. People are saying Clark will always chose Lana over Lois because he couldn't physically be with Lana, but wouldn't that makes sense for Clark now! As much as I hate to admit it, Clark has been in love with Lana for 8 years and has only been having feelings for Lois for a couple of months. Realistically, it would make sense that Clark would have more feelings for Lana at this point in the series since she still has a huge place in his heart. Most fans are pissed because "Infamous" will continue Clois, which is an insult to Lois and Clark, making their relationship look like crap after the Lana ordeal. "Infamous" looks like it will be Clark continuing to discover his feelings for Lois, it's not like he will fall in love with her. But I think where the writers are going with this is that Clark will realize how strongly he feels for Lois since he's been denying them so far and that's pretty much it. They won't be getting together anytime soon, especially on this series since they can't if I remember. Remember, we are still in Clark's pre-Superman days, Lana is a big part of his life before he becomes Superman, while Lois is a big part of his life when he does become Superman. While the writers messed up the momentum of the season with the last 2 episodes, "Infamous" looks like it will bring it back in a big way! Let's just hope "Power" and "Requiem" will be the only missteps this season as I'm really enjoying this season.
