I suppose they went with the latest incarnations only? Hence the abundances of Cavill and no Reeve. They even tamed down the Batman ones probably because there's not footage yet to show of Batfleck.

Popular movie montage.

They apparently lumped superheroes in with that for the ceremony, so they wouldn't have to give them individual focus.



I guess Superhero films are still the bastard genre in the eyes of the Academy.
