Rylance was great in Bridge of Spies, so it was well deserved. All of these actors nominated were very good.
And what a great speech he gave. That was really gracious.

It was an extremely tough category this year that's for sure. I'm glad Sly didn't win based on sentimentality. My choice would have been Hardy but oh well.

I'm not a big Sly fan but I thought he was good in Creed. I'm not saying he should have won but I haven't seen the other performances so I was rooting on him anyway.

Rylance had an understated performance, but I disagree that it wasn't memorable. As I said it was easily the stand out element of the film for me. I actually agree with Darth that all the other performances were more worthy than Sly's (except Ruffalo), but I still expected him to get the sentimental vote.
