Dark Sentinel, while you've got some decent ideas there, first of all, 18-21 is a bit too old for him to start being Robin. Not to mention we've also got to consider him training in order to become fairly proficient in martial arts.
And I wasn't aware that Dick actually had an older brother in the comics. While I'm not exactly against it, it might help in differentiating the current franchise from the previous one if the origin is slightly tweaked in that regard (ie Dick is an only child).
Finally, I'd also like to point out that the story you're writing is more reminiscent of Robin Begins than a Batman movie. If its a Batman movie we're after, then let's leave Robin as a supporting character, a la Roy Mustang to Edward Elric in FullMetal Alchemist.
Nightwing - now that's some news. Might be interesting if its true...
Well there have been speculation that a dick grayson character might surface in the nolan universe of batman. But if there were to be a dick grayson character should he become robin or nightwing?
Well perhaps if dick grayson was introduced to the franchise he would be introduced as a abandoned ophan in his teens, maybe 16 or something like that.
And while dick grayson was little, maybe 6 or 7, he runs into a bruce wayne (in his teens) and they discuss there losses, bruce knowing that dick is a orphan that lost his parents to the mob. They discuss how gotham can be saved and how both of them will avenge there parents death. So dick (a child) and bruce (a teenager) become somewhat friends with tensions and differences. Then Bruce suddenly leaves gotham without anyone knowing (Batman Begins). And then years later after bruce had returned and had become the dark knight, batman is in a footrace to catch a thug that escaped the asylum. And then batman is about to catch the thug, when suddenly someone jumps from the rooftop and topples the thug, that someone is Nightwing. Nightwing then introduces himself to batman saying "hello bruce". Nightwing knew that bruce had become batman from their talks in the past about catching the criminals one day. Batman says "how do you know who i am?" Nightwing responds "oh bruce, you dont remember little old me, how many abandoned orphans do you run into when your young huh bruce?". Then bruce (batman) says "Dick?"
Nightwing says "in the flesh, you didnt think id survive in the narrows did you? Well people also didnt think bruce wayne wouldnt come back after 7 years".
Well guys this is what i have so far, let me know what you think and if i should add more. thanks.

Oh he'd still lose to Batman. Experience will trump him every time. He's just a better leader than Batman. That is where he excells. With combat and detective skills he'll always be second to Bats.
He's admittedly had his ass beat by Lady Shiva....multiple times. It seems like Batman has that martial arts training that no one can trumph.
It seems like Batman has that martial arts training that no one can trumph. Btw, I've always wanted to know, is it possible for Batman to get any bigger or stronger or is he as strong as he's ever going to get? You'd think that with people like Bane running around Batman would try to get a little stronger to be able to try to take him.
I meant to say it seems like no other martial artist besides Ra's seems to be on his level. I wonder who'd win in a fight if Superman were powerless and didn't know martial arts....?
He'd sacrifice speed if he put on too much bulk. There's a reason the best runners are skinny. I think the point is that Batman has reached the perfect balance physically of speed, agility, and strength but it does not make him the best at any of them. He's still the world's greatest detective. That's his thing. There are better people in other departments though.
Lady Shiva and Cassandra Cain are both better than Ra's and Bats.I meant to say it seems like no other martial artist besides Ra's seems to be on his level.
