G'day,

Quick thought. Both AOS and the movies have been used to introduce other superheros. Who would people like to see? I pick two: James Montgomery Falsworth, the Union Jack ( I know he was in the first Avenger but not as Union Jack) and Jim Hammond the Human Torch.

Ralph
Well, the probelm with Jim Hammond is they can introduce him as such BUT not as the Human Torch because Fox has the rights because of the FF's Torch. Tho the "SYNTHETIC MAN" in First Avenger was supposed to be that hint

G'day,

If they can share Quicksilver with fox the can share the Human Torch, they are completely two different characters.

Sharing Quicksilver is kind of a unique situation, per Feige (last November, I believe) there's only a handful of characters that fall into this 'middle ground' or gray area in terms of film rights (QS and Scarlet Witch are two that we know of, I don't think it's ever been stated who any of the few others might be).

i think that the human torch would be a great character to explore, just read "The Marvels Project" series.

Also he has appeared in many invaders, captain America and numorous other titles that could constitute him a usable character for the movie universe outside of fantastic four.or you could just refer to him as THE TORCH.

I would love to see characters like Dominic fortune,Ulysses bloodstone or any members of the agents of atlas they are in about the same time.I really wanted to see human torch and namor in captain America, so i hope they can introduce him here.

Yeah a Few of Us would have loved to have seen an Invaders Movie, but, as Silvermoon said SW and QS were special because they were Avengers before Xmen.
The Torch has been an issue for quite awhile. Even if you bring up the facts that the fire is produced by both in different ways, one's human, one's Android. One's been around since the 40's a good 20 years before the other, it doesn't change why Marvel can't use Him.

I love all the 40's 50's Characters lol
I think the way they approached Jim in the All-New Invaders would work on Agent carter tho. Have Jim reluctant to USE his powers at all.

G'day,

You still haven't provided a convincing reason why the Jim Hammond Human Torch can't be introduced. As you said the character was introduced years before the Fantastic Four and has completely different origins. Theres even an Avengers connection as Jim's Android twin was the basis for the Vision.
As an android he can be switched off and stored away to be bought back decades latter by AOS . Lots of good story potential there.

I'd love for Shane Black to write and/or direct an episode of this, seeing as they somehow got him involved as the voice-on-the-phone in the One Shot and the whole 40's pulp/noir thing seems right up his alley.

I know he's probably too busy now though. So now my biggest problem with Black is the same as my problem with Whedon; there's only one of him.

I did say they could use Jim Hammond but not the Human Torch

Those all seem to be original characters. I'm surprised they left out Dominic Cooper as Howard Stark though. Hopefully, this doesn't mean he's just in there for the odd cameo rather than being a series regular.

I think a regular guest star would be fine. With 8 episodes, that would mean at least 4, though.

http://www.tvguide.com/News/Agents-SHIELD-Carter-Poster-Comic-Con-1084613.aspx

Agents will assemble next week at Comic-Con!

Fans heading to San Diego will get a rare opportunity to score the very first poster that depicts both Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Marvel's Agent Carter — and TVGuide.com has the exclusive first look at the epic art.

On the right, Agent Carter (Hayley Atwell) represents the SSR, the old guard that eventually became S.H.I.E.L.D. While she's noticeably alone, Agent Coulson (Clark Gregg) is backed by his team, even while Hydra is still ever present. Could these all be clues about what's in store for the second season of S.H.I.E.L.D. and the first of Carter? Or are we just reading into things?

Either way, you can pick up the limited edition free poster, which was designed by Matt Ferguson, at the Marvel Booth (2329) at Comic-Con.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. returns Tuesday, Sept. 23 at 9/8c, while Agent Carter will bow later this year.

I know you're from Australia. But do you really need to say g'day at the start of every post? Haha

Now I'm wondering if that "Film Divider" scoop about the supporting characters was legit. I didn't see corroboration of that info anywhere on the internet. Will wait and see.

SDCC poster. Wish this were bigger

Looks like a time portal appearing to both of them, bridging their two eras. Maybe one of them will step through it and cross over. Of course, why does this portal have a SHIELD logo with a Super Soldier Rogers acronym on it?

SSR = Strategic Scientific Reserve, it was the precursor to SHIELD.

^ That still doesn't explain why there is a giant time portal with that logo appearing, with Ghost Rider's non-flamed on head behind it. Or why the modern SHIELD agents are getting progressively smaller. Evidence of Pym particles perhaps?

And look at those sheets of paper flying about behind Hayley Atwell. That must be Abraham Erskine's Super Soldier Serum formula flapping about in the wind. I thought they would be filed away somewhere safe.

Don't you remember WHEN they said Hydra began infiltrating SHIELD? "AT THE VERY BEGINNING" Agent Carter is about the BEGINNING of SHIELD, and it's not a time portal, it's the Hydra symbol

Ghost Rider was part of Hydra? Maybe they told him to turn off his flamed head though because it got too hot. Or maybe Red Skull didn't want Ghost Rider's skull to outshine his own!

For some reason, I had been thinking it was supposed to be an alien, but it definitely seems to be HYDRA.
