I'm sure Marvel will release a timeline just like they did with phase 1 before avengers.

I really liked this episode. I've been a consistent viewer and really only thought the second episode was bad but I def see improvements. Hopefully they keep on this track.

I LOVED tonight's episode.
Never had a problem with Fitz/Simmons to begin with but after tonight they're so much more likeable. This Ep gave them some much needed depth.
I hope they keep it up.

What about the Avengers who fought the Chitauri hand to hand, wouldn't they have been exposed to this same virus also, so it should have already been known?

The dialogue in the episode actually covered this issue. Simmons made the comparison to earth pathogens being dormant or hybernating for X amount of time in certain situations and said these alien organisms were likely dormant until around the time the helmet was cleaned by the firefighters.

Exactly. Fox can't complain about characters that are simply born "gifted". The M word is all Marvel has to avoid with any of those legal grey area characters.

I've been saying that all along. Just don't use the word.SW and QS can be defined enough for for you to only fill out the smallest of blanks and that's all you need to do. No Extremis, no them being Inhumans, no need to really change anything, just a few omissions especially the word "mutant" and you have the same characters.

I really enjoyed this episode. Looking forward to the next one!

That reference to Typhoid Mary obviously means Daredevil is around in the MCU.

I got the impression they were referencing the actual, historical Typhoid Mary, not the Daredevil character.

Yeah, I got excited for a sec, then thought about it and was like "ah shucks".

I enjoyed the Big Lebowski reference.

The Dude!

Thank you

I sometimes lose track of what the twin nerds say because sometimes I don't understand the British accent

I liked this new episode the most. FitzSimmons really got to shine and did anyone feel like there was some actual character development happening there?:wow: and the dialogue was definitely more tolerable.

Was anyone genuinely believing Simmons was truly done for and that Whedon started to get back to killing again? and perhaps rooting for her death?

It's unsurprising to me that the episode where we get some concrete forward momentum about Phil's post Avengers status and what it means for the character as well as some spolight on what kind of man Coulson is under his stoic demeanor plus great added depth for our two tech heads was actually pretty decent.

It's a miracle! Six shows in, but still... Skye is sidlined in a story and, surprise, it turns out to benefit things all around. I also have to ask, but did anyone else notice that things actually loojed more solid production values wise as well? The camera work just flowed better to my eyes but I want to make sure it was not just me.

Still, it was decent not great though a marked improvment. In many ways I think this or a similar story would have been better as a premiere story over the Centipede thing they did.

For those wanting it, Gregg gave us the "starship Capt." perfomance the character and show needed.

Is the scar enough to kill the LMD rumors though? I hope so. Of course faux scars would be a must if you were keeping "Phil" in the dark. DUN, DUN DUH!

Again, the episode was decent but for me, and I suspect others, it still has a hole to dig out of that is of the creators own making given those first 5 shows.

Knowing Whedon's enjoyment of killing off characters that people start to like.... And not seeing much on upcoming episodes.... Yeah, I thought they were about to kill the cute scientist....

This show gets better & better as each episode rolls by...

Blake is doomed.... He touched Lola...

All through the show I kept thinking, "Are they killing Simmons? It looks like they're killing her. They can't kill her, can they? NOOOOOO!!!!!!"

The writers finally did it: They finally got me invested in the characters. Simmons & Fitz are now full-fledged human beings instead of amusing caricatures. It's much easier to care about them now that they're more real.

This episode had nearly the perfect blend of humor and emotion. With the focus finally shifted to Coulson, May and FitzSimmons, the acting was top-notch. For the first time the writer(s) fully utilized Clark Gregg and he turned in a beautiful performance as a result. As I've said before, Phil Coulson has to be the beating heart of this show. Provided they keep Coulson there, at the center, and build stories around him, the show will really start to thrive.

haha, I noticed that. I think Blake will be the first agent to go!

Said it in the Sleepy Hollow thread but both this and SH's episode brought the emotion this week, was close to tears in both.

As with SH as well we got some really good character development here for Coulson and Fitzsimmons, and the episode was all the better for it. Everyone got a moment to shine in this episode too, and Ward lightened up a bit which was good to see. The show is getting better each week.

For me that was the best episode yet...
great story, good acting.
Loved it.

I enjoyed the Big Lebowski reference.

The Dude!

I found it even funnier especially since Jeff Bridges was Stane in this universe.

Overall, I thought this was the best episode since the pilot. It kind of brought the show out of a slump for me.

So Coulson doesn't like playing ball with the big boys...this could play into the suicide mission in Episode 7 with Sitwell....also leading up to TWS

I need to rewatch this preview, but it just occurred to me... this episode comes out less than a week before the opening of Thor: The Dark World. Those floating bodies seemed reminiscent of another floating object from the beginning of that movie's trailer. I wonder if there's a connection.

At any rate, I expect we'll get hammered with Thor references (or maybe they'll keep it low-key).

hey leave that glorified hypnotist out of this

I thin this episode was mean to tie in with thor 2 [BLACKOUT]given in the film jane foster is seen hovering in an anti gravity field[/BLACKOUT]

The alien virus angle was cool...but I was still hoping for a Zzzax interpretation.

The again...couldn't this virus eventually evolve into Zzzax? Or maybe even SHIELD's Sandbox scientist's tinkering with it could create Zzzax?

Everything just seemed to point towards that obscure monster too perfectly to not utilize it. The electric nature of it. The targeting of the brain. It's ZZZAX!
