a low level asguardian who is not even from the comics. come on marvel I know your constrained by the movies and netflix development but throw us a bone.
I wanna see Ward and May go blow for blow with Task master or someone as relevant as him from comics for godsakes. B level shield agents doing a bunch of talking from the comics are not cutting it

We finally got some decent action scenes and the dialogue has gotten alot better. Im still dont care about anybody besides Coulson and May despite the character development episodes.

This show is still DVR status, but has made some improvements.

Well if everyone does it it must be ok then.

Many workplaces don't have non-fraternization rules, so co-workers dating is perfectly ethical. Some here act like this is an earlier era when such relationships were strictly prohibited but that isn't the case. As long as there is no abuse of power, perks aren't traded for sex and there's no sexual harassment, it's fine.

The WWE isn't exactly renowned for sophistication and good taste. :p

Neither is former WWE Superstar Dave Batista, and yet he's in the MCU as Drax. He has a reputation of being a ladies man....so to speak.

What does that have to do with anything? We're talking about May and Ward and whether the screwing they may or may not have done (I think they did not) was appropriate in light of their being colleagues. I couldn't care less what Dave Batista or anyone else gets up to in his spare time.

My favorite Peter MacNicol role:

I'm not exactly enthusiastic about these two getting together either tbh. I'm still giving the creators the benefit of the doubt but I hope they do not disappoint me.

SHIELD agents having sex would disappoint you? Okay. But if this show lasts a while that is inevitable. This is primetime TV, not a cartoon no matter how much it resembles one at times.

(Even in the comic books the characters have sex openly and have been doing so since Stan & the Bullpen crew figured out how to get round the Comics Code back in the late 60s.)

I could care less about Skye.

I couldn't care less about her, so there we differ. :o

I hate Skye. There I Said it. While you guys are beating around the bush, I'm more open. :o

I hate her, too, but she has 2-3 fans who get all riled up whenever anyone says that. :oldrazz:

I like her. I think the entire cast all do their parts. I have no complaints.

I don't care about that either way. But I would find Ward and Skye hooking up unsurprising and unoriginal.

Everything about Ward and Skye is already unoriginal, which is why the May/Ward hookup made me so happy. The writers seemed to be determinedly barreling ahead with pairing off the two most boring characters on the show altogether too quickly, like it's a soap opera or something. Suddenly spinning Ward off into May's orbit, even for a night, was a refreshing change.

Frankly, I don't favor the show getting into romantic pairings this soon since it seems cheap and cheesy. Fitz and Simmons are fine because it's clear they've been friends for years, but the writers need to cool their jets with everyone else. A ONS with or without repercussions is fine, but all the soapy melodrama is an unnecessary distraction for a show that is struggling to find its footing.

Ming-Na Wen isn't doing anything to cool off fan spec about what happened that night by tweeting things like this. :word:

Think about this for a second:

- Ming Na just turned 50. Basically she was 31 when Street Fighter came out. And she was the only good part of the movie.

I'm an episode behind but I just had to say that they're really laying the whole "Coulson is a robot" angle pretty damn thick...

That isn't the impression I have at all. Coulson has brutal looking scars on his chest, memories of having died and gone "...over there," he knows that his judgment and emotional responses are different from before, he has implanted memories of Tahiti that have now turned nightmarish because he knows they are false and he has had all too human reactions to the above facts. He is pretty obviously not and robot, IMO, but how he was resurrected is still a mystery.
