Supergirl All About The Ratings!!!!!! - Part 1

Well, I will wait to see the crossover before making a judgement call on it. I have to say, and as most know, I have not been a big fan of ANY of the crossovers....but I'm always hopeful.... :)

Basically the same problems as last year's crossover.

At least the fake Supergirl portion of last year's crossover was about Supergirl, thus, Supergirl characters got more eyeballs on them even if they didn't appear on the 3 other shows. This year, it seems like majority of the cast will be shut out of even the first hour.

I can't believe Chyler is doing the crossover, I figured she would take more time off to tour with her husband. That seems to be her #1 priority right now.

lol. I don't think she has a choice.

Oh, I'm sure she had no choice....but I think she would have taken the shutdown of the Supergirl set to tour some more. That is definitely what she is talking about on Twitter....I don't think she has made one comment on Twitter about Supergirl in months, except when people film them on set. I've read 1 article where she made a comment. It's been kinda weird....

You don't think she's leaving the show, do you?

It's going to be interesting to see Alex and maybe Winn interacting with heroes from another universe.

No.....I don't think she is leaving the show. It's just weird that she hasn't spoken about the show since last season actually, on twitter...she did comment in a magazine article.

Well, most of her interaction with the SG fandom on Twitter seems to be about Sanvers...which we know [blackout]is ending. So it's possible she feels uncomfortable promoting that right now, knowing she'd basically be leading those people on, or else spoiling them[/blackout]. She takes their importance to the LGBTQ community quite seriously [blackout]and probably doesn't want to upset people or be accused of queerbaiting.[/blackout]

I totally get that, but before Season 2, as in Season 1, she was constantly posting about the show. I mean, heck most of the cast posted "TONIGHT IS THE PREMIERE OF SEASON 3" or something like that....and she has always done that.....now of course it is totally her choice as to what she posts about.... but it just seems weird.

It does seem a little weird. Maybe she's lowkey unhappy with the way Sanvers is playing out. Looks like the last time she posted about Supergirl was a couple months ago.

Honestly, I think the best way to go about the crossovers would be a 4-8 episode miniseries that airs during the offseason for the shows. Sort of like The Defenders, except, you know, actually good.

You could still have smaller crossovers that make sense within the individual contexts of the shows, but not the big yearly event that we get now. The logistics of dealing with hanging plot threads from four different shows while and trying to tell a coherent story across them that still fits into the individual seasons of the shows is hard.

Lol on the Defenders comment, but I agree, on all of that.

Yeah BUT she is on Twitter almost everyday posting something about EOE, and the people she is targeting are the Sanvers fans....they have all jumped on the EOE bandwagon.

I think I remember her posting about Melissa....I would have thought she would have been all over the IDONTMIND campaign, and nothing about that....

The best crossover was the very first one. The second was about introducing Legends and it looks like this one is about promoting The Ray or whatever that new animated show is called.

I have been wondering about the change too.

It could also be the fan reaction. She had congratulated Melissa for the Saturn Awards (?); well, one of the awards, and there were a lot of hateful comments from some folks.

So, I think these days all she does is like Melissa's Instagram posts in stealth.

Or, may be she is leaving the show. Who knows? May be everyone in the cast is fighting, and all the friendship is a farce. Or, may be Chyler is fighting with all of them.:hmm:shrug:

May be everyone in hollywood is horrible.

Sorry, I got a bit carried away.

At least some of the Sanvers shippers seem to attend the EOE stuff to ask about Sanvers. :csad:

Besides Calista Flockhart, it's possible that someone else in the cast may also not like the show's move to CW or to Vancouver.

No, I think the actors are as they always have been on set....good friends. I have seen nothing, nor have I heard anything from those that love to spread that kind of stuff that there are any problems whatsoever on the set.

However, I do think you are correct about Chyler chilling because of the rudeness of some of the posters on twitter. THAT is probably the real reason.

How long was she on Greys before wanting to leave? 4/5 years? Filming in Vancouver could have sped up her boredom of being on the show and being ready to move on.

Arrow returned to a 0.6 coming out of a 0.7 from Supernatural.

So
Flash: 1.1
Riverdale: 0.8
Supernatural: 0.7
Arrow: 0.6
Legends of Tomorrow: 0.6
Supergirl: 0.5
Dynasty: 0.3
Valor: 0.3

Jane the Virgin and Crazy ex-Girlfriend will almost definitely be in the 0.2-0.4 range so we have a pretty good idea of how the network looks. At least until midseason when we get Black Lightning, iZombie, the Originals, the 100, and Life Sentence.

All the veterans posted very good results.

The fact that a 13 year old show is kicking majority of the networks butts is funny and sad.

She didn't want to leave Greys.....she was written off.
