Supergirl All About The Ratings!!!!!! - Part 1

I wouldn't be surprised if Chyler makes the decision to leave Supergirl.

Seeing the ratings this week, Supergirl needs to step up a lot.

Yes, but the competition on Mondays is not anywhere near the same on other nights. Definitely they need to IMO, step up the promotion, but the competition is huge.

I doubt Chyler is leaving anytime soon. She seems to be able to do all that she wants to do with the shooting schedule, she doesn't seem unhappy, just quiet on Twitter. Which I don't blame her, the people on there are psycho.

Supernatural's fans are loyal af.

YES, they are....

I know one thing that the Supergirl crew needs to step it up on and that is their time spent at the Conventions....they need to do FAAAAAAAAAR more than what they are doing by a long shot. That to me is their weakest area of promotion.

I think TheCW needs to up their promotional budget big time instead of just focusing on 1 show every season. Get the cast on some talk shows, covers, do more posters for episodes. Hell bring out some companion books that go over the shows history. Make a deal with Titan magazine.

Supernatural fans are loyal AF because the actors are loyal AF. That's the show's biggest strength.

And they arent bogged down by shippers.

At least Guggenheim's shows release timely sizzle reels. Supergirl's PR is like they don't care about the show, thus do the bare minimum and this issue has been there since last season.

I would like to see CW people more on talk shows nobody from the Arrowverse ever shows up on Jimmy Fallon for example, I realized that when the Riverdale crew did.

Yeah, Melissa did several for the first season, Jimmy Fallon, Kelly & Michael and then with season 2 she did the Kelly Ripa show again and a couple of other shows in New York....but you are right, I very seldom see any from Flash or Arrow on the talk shows. But, IMO, what hurts Supergirl the most is that they just don't do the cons.....except for SDCC. I know Jeremy is doing one in Dallas pretty soon, but that is it....but someone from the other shows is ALWAYS at a con somewhere doing big ones as well as small ones.

Yeah, I remember thinking about going to a couple cons that Melissa canceled on. That is a problem. The Fallon thing bugs me though. I would really like to see Melissa, Caity Lotz Candice Patton and Emily Bett Rickards on there (Emily by herself. I know he's the star, but when they do these shows as a group, Steven Amell never lets her talk).

I know scheduling for her is a tough one....

Last Summer the filming of "Waco" went over its scheduled time, and they had a "off the set" and weekend shoot that got scheduled and she had to cancel the Nashville one....

She likes to work too damn much.... :(

Which is good for her and good for us.

I still don't understand why fans need off-the-screen relationship with actors to be loyal to a good show. Isn't it a bit too much to ask?

Why not enjoy a good product for what it is like you do many other things: art works, paintings, books (though I know they also have book signings and conventions).

Okay, chocolates?

I don't either...but these cons are very important for comic book fans, and it is a series based off of comic books so they do need to find some way to make it to more of them. It goes to the longevity of the show.

I think for me at least, "need" the actors at the conventions is too strong. Yes it would be fun to meet Melissa and more people from the Arrowverse, but if it never happens, it won't make me less of a fan. On the other hand, I can still enjoy Supergirl without liking "Waco" for example.

Well, it will be up against pretty much the same tall wall of ratings that it was last week....
DWTS, The Voice, BBT, MNF and a play off game with yes..... YANKEES vs. ASTROS... tough night. :)

Another 0.5 for Supergirl.

Valor is dead, putting up a 0.2 leading out. iZombie would probably be doing much better in this slot. Shame it's being saved for midseason.

Lucifer is down to a 0.8, 1.1 for The Gifted.

Valor @ 0.2 for the second episode?

That's absolutely horrendous. I can't remember a single show on the CW that has done that poorly in the history of the channel.

Supergirl at 0.5 for their THIRD season is much, much worse.

Eh, no, it isn't.

Supergirl will get renewed, WB or no. Valor could only have a chance by being a CBS show, and even then it's cutting it awfully close.

Compared to Arrow/Flash 3rd season ratings, Supergirl isn't doing that great. Yeah it'll get renewed but it should have more viewers. But it does have some factors that probably go into why it doesn't do better.

At least it isn't a huge drop from 3x01 so that's great. But CW needs to do some more promos and maybe a good stunt casting.

You can't compare Supergirl's third season to shows which had their third seasons 1-3 years ago.

Legends of Tomorrow is a fair comparison, and it is indeed doing better than Supergirl, but comparing it to the highest rated season of Arrow from 3 years ago is not relevant.

Last year's "No Tomorrow" comes to mind and it had The Flash as a lead-in.
