What's funny is Batman has also almost always been defined by his use of stealth.

That was almost non-existent in this movie. He was a battering ram.

Batman is owned by WB/DC and they can do whatever they want. Kay?

Unrelated but important. RIP Prince

Sure, and we can express our disagreement with their decision with our wallets. :cwink:

I've already decided that I'm not spending another dollar on DC/WB movies. I'm almost done with the TV shows. I quit Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow is not far behind. Flash is tenuous.

Supergirl might be the last (wo)man standing.

Any one else realize that Faraci wasnt lying about reading an earlier version of the script?
Most of what he said was in the script was in the script.

You are joking right?

Nevermind, we might have a different interpretation of what stealth is. You might not agree with what I consider is also some kind of stealth.

Sooo you mean stealth like putting a tracker on a truck then barreling after said truck in the loudest possible way imaginable while shooting at the truck and throwing cars at it?

Or stealth like taking on the strongest being in the world by standing by a bright spotlight?

Or stealth like rescuing an old woman in and abandoned building by blowing it to hell with your loud @$$ jet?

You're right, I'm totally wrong.

The only stealthy scene I can really recall is where he is hiding in the corner and jumps the cops. He hides with the batmobile before blowing out a wall and starting the car chase. From what we see in the aftermath of the off screen assault on LexCorp, he must have blasted through the front gate in the batmobile and demolished anything and everything afterward. When he attacks Lex's goons he is stealthy in so much as getting to the building without being seen and then brawling everybody in side.

Haha yeah and I forget to mention using te batsignal to call out Superman.

Jesus, when did I say I am right and your are wrong.

I edited my post to let you know that I understand people have different opinions.

He was a tank cannon instead of being a sniper rifle. Even the TDKR version of Batman used SOME stealth. Hell, the REAL Batman would have been able to sneak out the room without some regular cop seeing.

Yeah a plot with a real representation of either of the title characters could have led us to a much better movie.

I don't know if the term "stealth" is as open to interpretation as the debate around "murder" has been.

Ha!

Dear lord, the snark in here...

Anyway, aside from hiding from the cops in the beginning (and he clearly must have wanted to be seen there), Bruce going undercover twice to get information is a form of stealth. Ditto right before he powers on the Batmobile. It was in hiding, and he was stealthy about marking the truck. The fact that he is obviously not stealthy after this does not change the fact that he was shown to be capable of stealth in this film. It wasn't his primary operating procedure. Which is an argument you can make about Batman, period. He has a loud car, a loud jet, and he intimidates and kicks ass when he needs to.

Soooo going undercover means being Bruce Wayne at a fight club and Bruce Wayne at a fancy party (which he got caught...three times).

I need to find my dictionary apparently.

It's Batman going undercover as Bruce Wayne.

And I said it was an example of stealth. He didn't get caught by anyone except Diana, who obviously has some skills. He succeeded each time without his prey apparently knowing what he was up to.

There's really no need for so much snark.

Today I went undercover to Jimmy Johns to get $1 subs. No one suspected anything.

That scene gave me such an eye roll. I'm sure NO ONE would notice the richest man in Gotham at an illegal underground fight. Sure. Ok.

Not to mention the wasted opportunity. A two minute scene in the Batcave of Bruce throwing on some scruffy clothes and scar makeup and voila we get Matches Malone on the big screen.

Hey, I remember another Batman movie where Bruce Wayne was smart enough to do that!

I will say that didn't bother me after i thought about it.

I'm sure plenty rich people go to weird underground stuff. I know Affleck himself was actually a part of an underground poker gambling ring.

However, probably wouldve been better to see "Matches Malone" or something like that.

While it would be nice to see him go undercover undercover, I really can't see why it matters that no one recognized him or cared about his presence.

He seemed to have abandoned a lot of his "protection" of the public Bruce Wayne identity in the film, I saw the fighting scene as part of this.

"I'm a comic book guy and I made the movie as much as I can on that aesthetic. I just don't know how else to do it 100%" - Zack Snyder
