Me trying to decide whether to watch the next trailer:

But those movies didn't go from 1 to 100 in one movie.

Yes they did. Avengers literally threw in a new Hulk and side stepped a lot of character development. The only movie that really connected to Avengers was Thor.

MOS introduced Superman. BvS will introduce Batman. Those are the key players. Also, do you think sudden events don't happen that brings different people together? It's more unrealistic to have them all conveniently fall into place and be recruited by one guy. People have this silly fallacy that Avengers needed to hold the audiences' hands and take them step by step just to see them fight a bunch of alien goons.

Well technically, that was the same Hulk as the standalone movie, just with a different actor. All I'm saying is that TASM2 and BvS seem to be putting a lot of eggs in one basket.

I've already made up my mind to not watch any other full trailer of the film until after I've seen the film.

Which is wrong because TASM2 was about a lot of things happening around 1 hero whereas BvS is about Superman and Batman. It has a more macro story view.

A lot of things happened in TDK so why do you use TASM2 as the archetype?

I'm talking about these movies trying to set up their next movie(s).

Because it ellicits a better comparison.

The Dark Knight was a very simple movie in core concept and story-wise. The going-ons were organic parts of the script.

Dawn of Justice, like ASM2, is trying to propel up an entire cinematic universe out of what was a very self-contained story, and is introducing a lot of key-players, concepts and story threads The Dark Knight didn't even matter to touch, which, again, is reminiscent of ASM2's ambitious world-building efforts that ultimately fell short. Not to mention both share astronomical budgets.

BvS has no risk of flopping so spectacularly all subsequent endeavors are cancelled, but it edges very near to being ladden with the same problems ASM2 had as a movie in on its own.

Did you guys see this? It's from Seth Graham-Smith's AMA

This is a very cleverly worded question.

So you're assuming it can't stand alone as a movie and that there will be a lot of setup?

Marvel movies have been more about setups than ASM2.

It's been rumored. Someone already has it on IMDB as announced.

TBH, my POV of the worst case scenario for BvS isn't ASM2, but something else that I...nope, don't want to share. lol

For me, even though we know a solo Batman movie will be made in the coming years, it feels like Batman is left out. Before you say anything, I DO NOT COUNT BVS WITH THIS, I'm referring to the overall lineup until 2020. BvS is a Batman/Superman movie, period. I feel like wanting to, regardless of the differences galore that we've seen/know already, to place Batman Begins into the DCEU. That way the lineup with have a confirmed Batman movie, at least until the actual one...

Carrie Farris isn't Carol Farris

Doesn’t your character play a key role in the comic books? Is there any chance that’ll be reflected on the big screen, either in this film or a future installment?
So there’s some gossip; this has not been officially confirmed with me at all. But my character’s name is Carrie Farris; there’s a character named Carol Farris who’s the Green Lantern’s girlfriend and turns into this superhero, Star Sapphire. But I have no idea if that’s the plan; they’re not even slated to do a Green Lantern film for several years.

its not confirmed or denied

but why the hell is she in JL movie?
