Parallels in movies are one of the coolest things that people generally ignore.
There's quite a few of them in BvS from what I've seen. Both Bruce and Clark yelling at an incident of destruction, for one.

I'm so curious as to what Bruce is saying at that moment before he screams.

Either "noooo!", or the name of the person he's talking to - who is inside the building as it collapses.

I think so too. Quoted from Empire Magazine "Bruce Wayne lost people he was very close to during the Man of Steel destruction. People he could call family." Imagine him listening to the person die. Certainly would be a reason to get emotional about it.

I know that people would freak but... I think you could get some real mileage out of that person being Gordon or Fox.

Looking at that gif and the way his mouth his moving
Keeping in mind that he could be on the phone with somebody inside the building...

...Lucius?

Wow, if Superman & Zod fight led Fox's death...

Or Gordon's. :cwink:

Still... That's a plus and a minus. You could really amp up the tension and dramatics. I mean, the audience for a the most part is now familiar with both of those characters and their roles as supporting characters, IMPORTANT supporting characters in the Bat Mythology, thanks to the widely seen Nolan Trilogy. Even an alt version of those characters dying wouldn't need a lot to establish a connection with the audience, and allow the emotions Bruce would feel upon such deaths to really resonate with the viewer.

The minus is... How do you walk back the emotional stakes after such a thing occurs? Bruce's feelings for any version of those two characters would be pretty strong. How do you get him to place where he's NOT clouded by anger? It's not impossible, but it would take a bit of finesse, script and performance wise, I think.

Batman carries a machine gun at one point in the movie.

We already saw him packing the machine gun in the Knightmare sequence. Against Doomsday it seems he arms himself with a grenade launcher which he appears to have modified to use Kryptonite payloads. If this Doomsday was made from Zod in some fashion than I think it stands to reason Bruce might find some effective way to cause it damage using Kryptonite based weapons.

Just quickly changing subject to MOS2 don't know about anyone else but even if the film has a main villain I would love an appearance for an opening scene from someone like the Toyman. Was thinking how cool would it be to get Jackie Earle Haley for that part.

I just can't get these guys at Screen rant. From one article to the next they can't seem to figure out if they're for or against a DCEU.

Is it the same person writing the articles though?

In any case that was a good read.

:funny:

When it comes to my anticipation of this movie, I'm going to pay much more attention to comments like Jeremy Irons' that this is a movie he could be proud of rather than some fanboy's b**** ass idea of what a CBM should be.

Good one! I love stuff like this really shows the layers to these things.

Nolan's name means accountability to audience. it's like sedative.

Snyder however for some reason creates Bay like reactions. Unfair.

Man of Steel is a better movie than The Dark Knight Rises.

It has great replay value as well.

This may cause controversy, but I think Watchmen is in the same class as The Dark Knight. Mostly because of the material by Alan Moore. However, credit goes to Snyder for bringing it to life.

Whilst I agree that MOS is certainly better than TDKR (I'd actually put MOS above the entire Dark Knight trilogy but that's me and I am biased) it depends on who you're asking really.

Like for instance you out TDK at the top of the food chain then stick Watchmen next to it. Absolutely fine as its your opinion but the point still stands that Nolan's name is gold. Snyder does seem to get Bay like reactions which are ridiculous from my POV as I think he puts way more into his films than he gets credit for. For one his attention to detail is phenomenal and I think his films are actually better edited than Nolan's who I often find can be sloppy at times.
