I want a cushy executive job that involves very little real responsibility.

Vice President it is then.

just put me in charge of all Nightwing/Grayson related properties

k thx

I'm in charge of the Twitter account.

Sorry Chip, I already beat you to it. Nightwing is my boy and I'm going to write, produce and direct an adaptation of Denny Oneil's "ties that bind" mini that made me fall in love with Grayson/Nightwing.

Damn, that was supposed to be my job.

In that case...I’ll handle GL. It won’t be too hard. GL First Flight, the animated series, John Stewart in the DCAU, and Johns’ run already provide the necessary blueprints, while the movie shows us exactly what not to do. Oh, and I promise to show John and Hal equal love.

In addition to the non-DCEU Joker movie, Leto Joker will be getting his own movie

Leto's a good actor and I'd like to see him get another crack at the Joker in a better movie with a different writer/director. But not in his own movie. The whole concept of a Joker movie is still kind of strange in a "who wants this?" way.

And I felt the "who wants this?" feeling was a big factor in the recent BO performance of SOLO

Sometimes audiences don't know what they want.

Leto's Joker is an IDEA... he can not be LOVED.

If it’s low budget then sure, but while I didn’t mind Leto’s Joker, many others did so I am not sure this would be successful.

It really seems like they're making a focused shift towards villain-centric movies. Its an... interesting business choice to say the least.

Borys Kit and Jeff Sneider both are speculating that WB may be building a Suicide Squad sub-universe within the DCEU

But why?

Yeah, it looks like WB may be separating their hero's and villains into two different factions on the big screen where they may collide when both universe's build up. Legion of Doom?

Hamada needs to come out and fill us in on what is going on, what falls under what and what this new banner is going to consist of with a plan because there needs to be an understanding here.

I suppose because out of the DCEU "Phase One" movies Suicide Squad was one of the movies that performed the best compared to it's budget/expectations.

And it's proximity to the Batman characters as well, we already got Nightwing, Batgirl, and the whole bunch of Harley spinoffs in the works.

It makes no sense to segregate the heroes and villains though. It defies logic creatively. What are the bad guys going to do in their own movies? Face more bad guys?

If this movie really has to happen, can they please make the Joker more "David Bowie" and less "****** impression of Drexl Spivey?"

No. Cause havoc. Fight the good guys but from their perspective. Kind of how Luthor portrayed Superman in the miniseries "Luthor" that was a hit in the comic books with art by Lee Berjemo. Perspective.

Just brainstorming though.

Why would anyone care to see this though? Causing havoc is hardly a good enough selling point.

I think it can work storywise with certain villains, Black Adam, Lex Luthor do view themselves as the hero in their own stories.

And some others are villains but not pure evil villains. I'd say "bad guys" like Catwoman, the Rogues, even Harley aren't out to do anything to nefarious like taking over the world enslaving mankind etc.

Yeah, but it turns them all into anti-heroes. When you start giving them a reason to be heroic, even in the context of the criminal underworld, it's hard to then turn them back into just a pure villain again against the real heroes. Catwoman is a character that can walk the line, she's always had swaying allegiances, but for other characters when you start pushing them from the black into the grey then none of them become inherently bad guys anymore. When you start blurring the lines you end up with something that doesn't appeal to anyone.
