Pixar is BIG, yes, and I enjoyed the first Monsters Inc, but the market has been overflowing with these movies for years. And I'm not sure if the more people will go see it just because it's Pixar. But I dunno either.
Maybe it's more about the target-audience, which I imagine is kids and their parents. Dunno how many other would actually go see this in the theater, I mean compared to something like MOS which aims wider.
could say same for super hero films and thinking people will see this just because it's superman

If I remember correctly that rumor about the CGI suit was talked about a lot here. It was when we also heard Matthew Goode might be Superman.

I wonder if that was motivated by concern of not being able to get an actor who would be able to bulk up for the role.

Not in the mood to be called a liar if its news that some will disagree with.

He convenient :cwink: if they're rumours and you're stating they're rumours then why would you be called a liar?

Because of what I just said? If its something people don't like, suddenly you're a liar. Like the continued obsession over how Cavill was received at early The Man of Steel screenings.

But if it sounds good or great, then it must be true.. ;)

Well if they called you a liar they'd just look stupid seen as though you've already called them rumours.

Im really curious if mos will lead into a wf or jl film. It will just about have too. That means cameos or mentions of other heroes or a hero.

MOS was written and filmed as though there were no other heroes on Earth so unless they added something, like a new scene that did otherwise much later on that wasn't on the original script, I highly doubt it.

Am I the only one that doesn't really want a JL film?

I can't see it being anything other than a total failure.

Totally down for a World's Finest film though.

No.

A JL prepped by a confused WB/DC doesn't bode well in the slightest.

It's probably nothing, but at 2:48 in it looks exactly like the trailer (or teaser?) where Superman gets knocked into the bank safe. Am I imagining this? Lol. Rushing leaving work no time to compare but it looks very familiar.
I am almost 99% sure that it was intentional. The Superman vs Capt Marvel animation has a lot of building destruction and collapses that are similar to the ones in the 2nd MOS trailer. The other images that I thought of being similar is the Alex Ross' Kingdom Come Superman profile in shadow and the Henry Cavil's profile in the teaser poster.

Here're screencaps from the MOS trailer with the Superman vs Capt Marvel animation caps inserted:

I love that shot from the trailer of Superman being thrown into the bank vault. Absolutely love it.

Yeah it packs a nice wallop, and FX wise looks great, definitely convincing.

I agree, and I'm worried WB saw AVENGERS and thought "We can do that to." When in reality, Avengers was a serious longshot that shouldn't have worked as well as it did.

I LOLed at the idea that the top WB/DC execs will have any grasp of what the general audience will like. They're in reality no different from the high stakes gamblers who frequented the London Mayfair clubs.

I think the thing I'm most excited about is the film's visual style. It's going to be really enjoyable from that perspective. The film just looks really good.

Honestly, the only thing that I'm not really excited about in terms of the film's look was how drained out the colors were from the footage that was presented in the first theatrical trailer that we got. I mean, out of all of the films that Snyder has done, this is the one that he thought that it'd be okay to go with the gray color filter on it.lol
